Hotel rates 2008 versus 2009.

... maybe someone has posted this before, but

I stayed last year at Sequoia Lodge with the 4 for 3 promotion from 10th to 14 th July 2008.

I payed 6200 danish kroner for that, a nice discount.
(I travel alone, so i pay alot more than couples/families)

This year, even with the same 4 for 3 promotion, i have to pay 8485 danish kroner for the same resort and dates!

Thats almost a price increase of 37% in ONE year! TOTAL insane if you ask me!!

This will/would have been my 10 th visit to DLRP and my 8 th stay at a disney hotel.

HELLO disney, is it too much to ask, that regulars like you and me, gets a decent rate!

People who visits and stay onsite, over and over, gets no special treatment and no extra discount, pay upfront or stay at home, good job Disney. I hope disney enjoys their 2billion euro dept, because maybe ill go somewhere else.

37% increase, hmm sure, sounds fair dosnt it!

Hi Denmark,

This has happened pretty much at all the resorts - DLP, WDW (though they are offering 7 for 4 right now), DL and TDL. DLP is offering 50% off right now for Annual Pass holders. Which is better than TDL who rarely offer more than 5%.

But watch this space. I bet the prices will come down nearer the time.

For a couple of years in a row they actually dropped the rates, so it may seem like a big jump now as they have increased their rates. You mention no special treatment for people who travel to Disney over & over. A lot of people who do this own an AP so get discounts that way or their are shareholders who get discounts, so Disney do help encourage people to come back.
