Found the HoJo Entertainment rate for $70 a night and 50% off, snapped that up right away, so thanks in advance for any info anyone might have for me!

I am looking for a reasonable price hotel for the week of Nov 15-22, and even the cheapest normally (Park Vue Inn), is over $100 a night, anyone know of a clean, safe hotel for two ladies that won't bleed us dry? Tried Hojo's with the Laughing Place Discount, and it's not much less than Candy Cane Inn, and we really wanted to stay at Hojo's. Even BWPPI is ridiculous priced, I know it's the week BEFORE Thanksgiving, and we would depart on Tgiving day, (even tried Nov 14-21, wanted to be there ON my birthday, the 21st), with the same ridiculous prices! Does anyone know if they will go down closer to departure date?

Thanks,

Jules

I honestly don't think that anything that you're going to find will be over $100 during Thanksgiving week. I know that it falls the days before Thanksgiving, but a lot of folks get most of, if not all of that week off from work and school.

You could try the Tropicana Inn. It's the only place that I've ever stayed (and was there alone for three nights in December). If you're looking at BWPPI, it is the hotel immediately to the left of it, so super short and easy walk, and I've always felt totally safe. This past trip, I asked them to put me in a room towards the front so that I wouldn't have to walk way back alone in the dark at night, but it's a safe-feeling place.

For your dates, you can stay at La Quinta for $75 a night. I stayed there in October, and while it is about a 10 minute walk to the parks (but even at night, alone, I felt totally safe), the ART system stops almost at the front door of this hotel.

What I really liked about it was that all the doors to get into the rooms are inside a secure building. I try to avoid any hotel were the rooms open up to the outside and anybody can just walk on over to your door. At LQ, next to the lobby there is an elevator were you must slide your room key to press the "up" button. If you take the stairs, you must slide your key into the door for it to open. The only people getting anywhere near my room are other paying hotel guests...just the way I like it!

While its not the ideal location, it will work for a cheap hotel stay. After all, your not planning on being in the room for that long I would assume! Plus, the hotel is right accross the street from the cheesecake factory and california pizza kitchen! Some nights on the walk back I would stop and pickup a pizza to enjoy in the room :thumbsup2

It's really early to know what the prices will be for those properties. They often have discounts and specials that don't come out until early fall. It's hard when you want to make your reservation now, but that's just the way it often works. What you can do is make a reservation now and then change it if there is a special that comes up. You can't do this with a Hojo entertainment rate room, but if you had one of those you wouldn't be writing this post, right?! :rotfl:
