I am kind of debating between two hotels. I recently posted on Best Western International Plaza - I like the fact that it's on I-Drive, complimentary shuttles to parks, and continental breakfast, plus there is a shuttle available to the mall from this hotel (I LOVE to shop).
But, I have a second option, and do enjoy the perks at this second option as well, mainly that there is a fridge and a microwave in the room.
I was thinking on Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. I got a great rate on both hotels, and now just have to decide which one to go with.
Have any of you stayed in both, and which one did you enjoy better?
I never thought that looking for a hotel room would be so frustrating:earseek:  :confused2 :confused3
Thanks everyone,
J

Does anybody know if there is a grocery store close by to any DD hotels? Or, would it be easier to try to get to one before I get to my hotel?
Thanks, J

I'm not sure when you will be traveling, for how long, or whether or not there will be children with you, but having a fridge in the room is one of the main criteria I use when choosing hotels. Drinks are so expensive at the parks and from vending machines at hotels. It is so nice to buy drinks at the store and have them on hand when you want them. We pack a small soft sided cooler with cold drinks and bring it to the park with us to save time and money. We also found that we ordered a lot of take out food on our last trip and it was hard to finish the entire pizza or meal we bought, without a fridge we would have had to throw it away. Because we had a fridge, we were able to keep the leftovers for a snack or meal later on.

As for the first hotel having a shuttle to the mall, that is great if you think you will use it. We have always found that there is so much to do at Disney that we never have time for other things like shopping. It all depends on how long you are going to be there and whether or not you will have time or make the time to shop. From what I have read on these boards very often hotels have limited shuttle schedules and they do not always run when you want them to.

You may have already done this, but if you haven't, you may want to check out epinions.com. They may have some recent reviews about both hotels and that might help you decide.
Good luck.

Yes, I've stayed at the CI-LBV. It's ok, but it depends on the price. What is the rate you've received?

Regarding the refrigerator... Are you driving? If so, take a large cooler to keep things cold! We did this last week, and had drinks, a gallon of milk, yogurt, pudding, sandwich meats, etc.. in there! It is much more economical, and you won't have to choose a hotel solely for this reason.

There is a Goodings in Crossroads, very close to DTD. However, they are EXTREMELY high. In Dec., I paid $5 for an average box of cereal! I would recommend Publix grocery stores, and there are several around.

We've stayed at CI LBV twice, its OK. Full size fridge in rooms. There is a Goodings store near the end of Palm Parkway and a little further along Apopka Vineland Road other grocery stores, cant remember the names but good prices.

What price have you paid as ive seen it recently for around $34 on Openroads.com.
