ok, so finally I figured out flights. We still need an overnight stay after our visit. But it has to be next to CDG as we have an early flight. My plan is to have full last day at DLP, then leave for the "airport" hotel. Any suggestions about hotel next to CDG?

And how do I book transportation? Just ask them to take me to that hotel?
And there are buses to take us from hotel to airport? I know nothing of CDG area :confused3

I haven't stayed near CDG but I know there's some which are on the train line (or CDGval line) right by the airport. Again I can only recommend the comparison website hotelscombined.com or you might ask on the Trip Advisor forum as they are more likely to have answers for you or maybe even a forum on CDG. Hope this helps you. I'm off to read your PTR xx

I have booked the Hilton CDG right before an early flight - it was super convenient and reasonable as I used hotwire. I was also looking at the Ibis and Novotel - both at CDG - I was able to use airport transportation to get to my terminal in the morning.

I took the TGV from DLRP directly to the airport - then airport transportation to the hotel. It was very easy.

I'm thinking of booking RStransport. But I want to try TGV, just for fun :lmao:

Hilton came up with a pretty high price compared to others. But thanks for all advices, will look .

And as I understood, there's some kind of a bus running hotels- airport? Never stayed next to airport for overnight stay :confused3

Its either an airport shuttle or the CDGval which is like a tram that takes you from the hotel to the airport. The TGV might not be as easy to navigate with luggage and the boys but its so quick. We found the price comparable to RS transport.

It's RStransports for us as it's cheaper around 20eur. And easier!
But how to get from airport hotel to the airport? Is it walking distance? Shuttle?

don't the hotels tell you in their description how to get from the hotel to the airport terminals?

Im not sure! But the hotel descriptions should tell you if they have a complementary shuttle to the airport. If not your best bet is a taxi, I'm sure it wouldn't cost much and your receptionist would be happy to arrange it for you. We stayed at a Best Western at Orly and they offered a free shuttle to the airport which was a few minutes away.

There's a Sheraton at CDG, which might be worth checking out - joins straight onto the Terminal 2.

Thank you all so much. You've been real help for me. Feeling better about this already. When I typed"CDG" in booking.com and came up with quite a number of hotels, I got lost. I know it's only for overnight, I don't want anything fancy. But... normal I guess? :lmao:

Glad you have it all sorted. Its a worry when its not somewhere you are familiar with. At least now you can relax and enjoy the rest of the planning and the reveal for your two lovely boys.

It was like - Who? Me? When? Where? What? I still remember my surprise when I realized how big CDG is :lmao: And when your not familiar with prices it gets even worse.

I haven't told the boys. I won't tell anytime soon. I do like them to know and "how many sleeps" sounds fun.. But then it drives me crazy telling "how many sleeps" hundred times a day :rolleyes1:lmao:

And this "just before we go" is what time? Travel day?

Way to go :lmao: Won't work for us. Our flight is at 6.40am and it's another city. We'll be spending a night at my aunt's. If I don't tell them anything, they'll be suspicious :lmao::lmao:
