Our flight leaves at 8:00 am, which means that we have to be at the airport at 6:00 and were about 45 minutes from the airport. I was thinking of staying at hotel near the airport that will allow you to park and then take a shuttle to the airport.
What is a good hotel

There's a Hampton Inn nearby that was $86 per night with shuttle and free parking when my daughter was researching this for a June 2002 flight.

Thank you both, I will start researching those two hotels and get a price and go from there.

Shoot...I can't remember the hotel I found a couple years ago...I think it was a Residence Inn. They had free parking and a free shuttle to and from the airport. The rates were pretty good, too. Good luck! Marriott owns Residence Inns, I think...try their site.

I've stayed at the Comfort Suites. The hotel was lovely and the rooms were nice. It was under $100 per night.

The only problem that I had was with the shuttle coming to the airport to get me to take me back to the hotel. Seems like the hotel knew that they were having problems with this driver, but he kept telling them that he was on his way to the airport.

I finally took a taxi (the driver wasn't very impressed with his mile long drive and small fare) with two other women who were waiting.

We complained at the front desk and I got the manager's name and address. The front desk told us that we should have taken the Holiday Inn shuttle and walked through the parking lot to get back.

The manager was very understanding and refunded the entire taxi ride and tip to me and promised all sorts of things if I stayed there again. I just haven't had to make a choice there yet.

So, if you stay at the Comfort Inn, remember that you can take the Holiday Inn shuttle if theirs doesn't come.

Would like to stay overmight too for an early morning flight - anyone know how long you are allowed to leave you vehicle at any of the aboe mentioned hotels? I can't find anyone that advertises a true "Park and Fly" (but the Marriott and the Courtyard specifically saying they do not allow it)

The Mariott at Phila. airport?????
oh no..that is where I was planning.
Is this definite???

Dansyr I sent you a PM
...
My sister stayed at the Marriott, she is trying to convience me to take a town car service. She said the hotel was over a $100.00 per night and they charged around 7.00 per day to park. She also had to carry her luggage from the parking garage to the hotel and then back to the parking garage on her return. She does not have the luggage with rollers so it was pretty tough for her.
The town car service for me it about $90.00 one way plus tip, so I am not sure what to do.
.
The comfort inn is one consideration although they said that their parking area is not fenced in, it is patrolled by a guard but there are no gaurantees for your car. Their rate is 88.20 with aaa discount, not too bad.
Decisions, decisions.
