We are flying in late to Orlando International (1030 PM) and would like any suggestions for a one-night stay very near the airport. Ideally, the Airport Hyatt would be the best choice, but don't want to pay $$$$ for what amounts to almost less than a one-night stay, since we will leave for WDW in the AM.

We are considering Country Inns (see other post) or possibly Marriott.
Country Inn is $89/AAA and Marriott is $139/breakfast incl.

Doing the under 2-week

Thanks

For the one night before WDW we used Priceline. I bid $32 for an airport location and got the Wingate. Very clean and the staff was friendly. There was an indoor pool and free morning breakfast (not just pastries either). I believe it was a 2.5 or 3 star.

Since you are at the 2 week mark, you have a very good chance of getting a great rate with Priceline. It's no guarantee, but for just one night and that low price I went with it. We also figured if the place was a total dive we would just lose the price and go elsewhere.

Good luck!

I had an early morning flight out of MCO last Dec. and got the Crowne Plaza for $50. You could probably do alot better since you're only 2 weeks out!!!

HTH!!! :teeth:

ONLY BID 3*. Some of the lower * properies don't offer a complimentary 24 hour shuttle bus service and a $10 cab ride will wipe out your savings.

I agree with the previous posters...do Priceline for a 3* property in the MCO area...they book at the Hyatt (inside the airport) the Marriott, the Holiday Inn Select, the Crowne Plaza, the Sheraton Suites and the Renaissance....all are excellent properties, all offer complimentary shuttle service 24/7 to/from the airport and all serve lots of airline flight crews so the shuttle service and late night check in is quite efficient (read fast).... a bid of $42 to 50 will get a room at one of those places most of the time (sometimes less will work)

We have at one time or another gotten all of those properties except the Renaissance....the rooms were the smallest and the beds the worst at the Hyatt....although the convience is hard to beat, we have never had to wait for a shuttle to one of the other hotels and check in and out was always a breeze

Most, but not all of the 2.5* properties have shuttle service 24/7 and most of the 2* properties have limited hour shuttles....so I would stick with a 3* place to be safe since you have a late arrival time and many stop running at 10PM.

Several years ago, we stayed at the Marriott thru PL for around $35/nite plus fees. Good beds, quiet.

herc.

We stayed in Country Inns and suites in April for the same reason. It was very nice and the front desk and everyone else were very friendly, the rooms were nice and clean ok free breakfast. We stayed on gold points we earned from eating at TGI Fridays so it was a real bargain (15,000 gold points)
