hotel/motel near VB?

Hi again(......totally unrelated issue than the SSR thing earlier) I have a trip coming up in Oct., and for points reasons (as well as a flight that doesn't come in until 10PM) I opted not to "waste" points booking the Friday night arrival at Vero Beach, so I don't check-in until Sat., even though our flight comes in very late Friday night. I tried booking a cash ressie for the night and there was no availability. Are there any decent motel/hotels near VB, or should I just stay in Orlando for the night? What's that place that used to be advertised a lot that was pretty good, Caribe Royal or something?

The Holiday Inn in Vero Beach is nice. We stayed there a few years ago and the staff was very friendly and the place was clean. It's on the ocean and within walking distance to a few restaurants. There is also one at the hotel.

The Ocean Grille (sp?) is right across the parking lot.



You could also keep checking about cash availability at the resort that night. Every time we have been there in October it has never been crowded.

Holiday Inn would be my recommendation as well. There are a couple of other hotels in that area but the names escape me. (One was a Days Inn that got a new name). You might want to stay in Orlando and be fresher for the drive, though.

Caribe Royale is not far from DD. I think it used to advertise quite often on this site.

It's not far, it's on the waterway instead of the ocean and Captain Hirams can be a nice evening.
