Hotel in UCF area?

Our daughter will be going to space camp at KSC so we have a 1 br suite at Quality Suites in Cocoa Beach...DH definitely wants a separate br as he will need to spend the nights working (such a fun guy on vacation). Turns out that hotels near Univ. Central Florida in Orlando are only about 10 miles further from KSC than is Cocoa Beach, and with highway rather than local travel, may be a closer drive. Crestwood suites @ UCF has fabulous rates- doesanyone know anything about them? Thanks.

Orlando is a good 90 minutes to Kennedy Space Center.

I though Cocoa Beach was around 30 minutes.

I know, I thought it was strange too, so I checked it on Yahoo Maps. Turns out the UCF area is a good bit north and east of Orlando, much closer thanthe WDW area, and this hotel is ~7 miles west of Bithlo. It's pretty much a straight shot on the highway to Astronaut Hall of Fame, where Space Camp is headquartered. A friend living in Cocoa BEach, working at KSC says it takes him a GOOD 30-40 mins in the morning to get to work, due to local traffic on local roads.

Don't worry, haven't canceled any ressies yet!
