Hotel in Newport

Does anyone have any roccomendations for a hotel near the beach at Newport. My DF and I are ending our Disneymoon at Newport. Thanks!!

The Hyatt Hotel is nice! Right on Newport's Back Bay, and close to Fashion Island (but not on the ocean).
Also, up in Huntington Beach, there are a couple of nice hotels, (The Hilton Waterfront is one), and in Laguna Beach, the three biggies are the Montage, the Ritz Carlton, and the St. Regis. The last three are quite expensive, just depends on what your budget is.
I would suggest you look at Expedia.com, and see what they offer. They have rates, pictures and reviews on most properties!

We just returned from our first family trip to So Cal. I cannot say enough great things about the Inn at Laguna Beach. Not as expensive as the Montage, etc. but right on the ocean, walking distance to the shops & restaurants in Laguna.

We had a top floor room with a balcony that had a table & 2 chairs right overlooking the ocean. We slept with the patio door open every night listening to the waves crashing. They deliver a nice continental breakfast to your room each morning. Walking path along the ocean starts right at the hotel. Not super high end but really nice...

We finished our trip with 2 nights at the Grand Californian - that was awesome as well (but no waves crashing below , just the sounds from California Screamin'...)
