Hi everyone,

Any recommendations on hotels to stay the night before a Port Canaveral DCL departure? I'm especially interested in hotels that will shuttle you to the Port in the morning.

Country Inn and Suites is our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. Stay there before every cruise! Free breakfast to get you on your way- and a shuttle to the port! Get your name on the list for the shuttle the MINUTE you check in though- or you'll be on the 2nd or 3rd shuttle....

I second the nomination for Country Inn & Suites! We are staying there TONIGHT before sailing out on the Fantasy tomorrow. Great room with parking and shuttle to the port for an excellent price. We're paying $120 plus taxes for the 1 bedroom suite (2 queen beds, pullout sofa in separate room, mini fridge and microwave). Publix and ABC liquors just up the road. What more can you ask for?

We've always used the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach. Easy transportation to the terminal, parking packages and breakfast the morning of departure.

Hope this helps!

We usually stay at Radisson at the port. They are located right across from the ship and offer a shuttle service. I believe they do now charge for it (maybe 5-10 bucks) It used to be free. Very convenient though. Also can see the ships arrive right from the hotel :):cool1:

I have stayed at the Radisson at the Port and it was nice. They have a great pool and shuttle service was convenient.

If you want a budget option, Days Inn Cruiseport West. It is an older hotel and shows, but it was clean. We stayed there this past September for 70 dollars. We received a discount for breakfast at the grill attached to the lobby, price came to about 12 dollars for me, my wife, and two kids (the kids are young, so they shared a plate). They also give one of the 40% off coupons for the cruise terminal. This is right off I-95 and is about 15-20 minutes from the port.
This is not on the same level as some of the other hotels being suggested, but it is definitely an option if you are looking to save a little money and don't mind a very basic hotel. We will go back next time we depart from Port Canaveral.

Personally we LOVE the HYATT at the airport plus not only do they have a shuttle to the Port ($35 per person) BUT you get a paper when u ck in and then just leave you bags (labeled) in your room and the next time you see them is on the ship!! Can't get any better than that!@!

Residence Inn is WAY better than the Country Inn, staying at Grand Floridian DVC night before for next cruise : )

Did they have shuttle transportation to the Port?

We usually stay in Port Canaveral before our cruise (when we don't it is usually at the Hyatt or WDW). When staying in Port Canaveral we have been recently going to the Marriott Residence Inn (last five times). We absolutely love it. We have stayed at the MRI, Country Inn & Suites (disliked it a lot), the Radisson, Four Points Sheraton, Doubletree and International Palms. MRI, in my opinion, is the best of them all for us. We usually rent a car so the shuttle doesn't come into play for us.

We were thinking of renting a car to get to Port Canaveral, as well. Can you please tell me where you return it? Is there a rental car location walking distance from the port?
