We have ressies at WL arriving 5/24. We had intended to drive, but now we are going to fly. Our plane is suppose to arrive at 5:00 pm on the 23rd, so we will need a hotel room for one night. We are not renting a car.

Upon checking lots of hotels last night, there are not many out there with a rate comparable with the AS Resorts with a Code Rate. So....... My question is this.

Should we try to get a room at the AS? This way we could take our airport transfer (need help with this too - Taxi/Limo/??)directly to the Disney Resort Property, but on 5/24 we will need to transfer to the WL. What then? I guess we would have to get a taxi????

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. There are 6 of us.

Oh, we won't have a car either. We're using the free hotel shuttle to pick us up, then getting Yourride to collect us from the Hampton Inn the next morning! www.yourride.com Rabbittz, he posts on the transportation board, is a sponsor of these boards. I hear good things about his service.

Last June we needed to add one night on before our AKL stay. We spent one night at ASMo. Have them bring your bags over to WL, and after your day in the park, go on over and check in. It really is painless. Have a great trip!!!

If you already have ressies for WL on the 24th, can you change it and add the 23rd?
That saves all the switching around etc the next morning.
You would get to the WL by 6pm and there is plenty to do for the evening.
You will be able to rest and be up early and ready for the parks the next morning.
You probably got the WL using a code, so IMHO it would be worth it to just add the day there.;)

Thanks, cindyfan, that's what I was thinking. DH also arrive at the airport around 5:00, and going to WL. We're making ressies at Artist Point for dinner around 7:30, then just walking around the resort a little, soaking up the atmosphere. Then we'll be ready to be on that first boat in the morning (by the way, what time is that first boat-don't want to miss it!)

We had the same dilemma.. only in reverse. We WERE flying.. and decided to drive. (and purchase a tv/vcr combo with the saved money). We were booked in at the WL on April 21st.. and we decided to arrive a day early to rest from our 23 hour drive. We booked into ASMovies on the 20th.. and will rest and toot around the resorts for the day. We thought it would be fun to do that. We'll have dinner at Whispering Canyon the 20th, and they'll transfer our bags for us on the 21st, while we head to the park. We always grab each moment we can in the park, and thought it might be nice to not be in a park for a day. We can shop, rest, swim, visit resorts, etc.

Works for us.
