HI Everyone,
We are not arriving to Florida until midnight our first night in Fl. I am looking for something very close by, but not necessarily Disney related. With an arrival that late all we need is a place to sleep. Can anyone give me any ideas of what is close by??
We have reser. for the Poly. (6 nights) I just can't see $250 for an extra night when we are arriving so late.
Thanks for your help.
Hapy planning.
Sandy

2 years ago for our first night we used Priceline and got the Sheraton Safari for $30 per room. This was a fantastic deal, nice hotel, just outside the entrance to DTD.

Last year we used Priceline again for the first night and got the Hilton at DTD for $59 per room. Another great deal.

I would not hesitate to use Priceline again for our 'first nite' stays!!!!

Lodging.com has lots of hotels near Disney and cheap. I found one at the Maingate in July for $39 a night for our first night.

... accommodations and got the Dolphin for $69. Definitely a lot better than paying $250 for a night at the Poly when you wouldn't be able to enjoy it that first day. If you don't really care where you stay, I would definitely recommend trying Priceline. The deals are quite good -- I was amazed to get a deluxe resort for this price.

Good luck,
Sarah

Definitely try Priceline. Read all about it at www.biddingfortravel.com. We have the opposite situation-- our flight home leaves at 6:30 am and we've decided to stay near the airport. We'll do the parks all day and head over about 8pm. We got the Marriott Airport Orlando for $28. That's a three-star.

A few months ago, I stayed at ASSports the first night for $55. That way, the next morning, just hop the bus to the parks and let Bell Services transfer my luggage. I'd definitely do it again. I thought of staying offsite, but couldn't beat what I got for convenience, and at most a few dollars more in price.

We stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in the Marriott Village. It is about a mile away from DTD. Very nice and reasonable.

After a long flight that late at night I would consider a hotel close to the airport.
Marriott Orlando Airport, not bad
Courtyard
Radisson
Embassy Suites
Hilton Gardens
Fairfield
All very close to the OIA

Then sleep in and get up the next morning. Take the Greenway to the Osceola Pkwy, head west and you are on Disney property.

If you want a clean, modern, safe hotel room cheap try www.go2orlando.com. They have rooms on 192 as cheap as $27.00 a night. We have used them several times now and with much luck. The are all major chains. Many of the hotels on 192 are 2-5 minute drive to Disney, and it's a straight shot.
