Hotel Discounts?

I'm just wondering - does anyone know when they'd typically announce hotel deals for early December? I'm happy with our choice of hotel offsite, but would gladly change to PPH if the price was right. That way we could get into DCA early during part of our trip.

Last year disney offered a room only discount where you could recieve up to 30% off depending on the hotel and day of week. This was released Septemeber 14th and was valid between october 2-december 24.

If you already have a reservation (and if it's a package), would you get the lower room rate? What if you were over on the dates a little (like if you were there Dec 20-27, would the 20-24 dates get the discount, and the 25-27 dates be the regular price)?

Thanks for this, I hope they will still offer a similar discount for early December this year as well. I am very disappointed they decided to not offer a summer discount for the hotels this year. I know they have Carsland and they can get away with charging full price this time of year, but still... seems very greedy to me. Anyway, fingers crossed!
