Hotel dilemma, what would you do?

in recent years we've always stayed off site due to the price difference but we have the chance to stay onsite next year as the prices are really good for our dates. 2 nights, 2 adults. AP holders so looking for a room only deal. We visit often enough that this could be an enjoy the hotel trip. We won't be spending every minute in the parks for sure.

I've stayed in the Cheyenne, Sequoia lodge and Newport Bay previously. (Plus just about every offsite hotel, our recent favourite is the Hipark)

Cheyenne has no availability so choices are

Santa Fe £120, Sequoia Lodge £212 or Newport Bay or New York for £292

Any recommendations?

Would you be likely to use the pool or gym? If so that could take Santa Fe out of the equation so you've only the other three to decide between!

if budget allowed I would always choose New York, just because of location, location, location. My next choice would be Sequoia Lodge, again for location reasons.

I think a big part of me wants to stay at the New York just because I never thought I'd be able to justify the price! I think despite the cheap cost I've ruled out the Santa Fe! Not particularly narrowed down but it's a start!

when are you going, before April 2017? if yes you will still get breakfast included in your room rates and the one at HNY is a hot one and really nice and the walk is the closest of all but with santa fe you probably can have all meals and shopping in the price of HNY so it will be really how much can you spend at the moment... sorry if didnt help a lot ;-)

If you stayed at the SL you could always upgrade to a Golden Forest Room

February so breakfast is a consideration. I could afford any of them, but I could also use the money elsewhere... I keep thinking this might be a rare chanc to stay at the more expensive hotels. I'm mindful the Newport bay has been refurbished and the New York hasn't. Anyone think that makes a difference?

Considering it's February, I'd choose New York for the location - I always think of NPB as a summer hotel. And it wouldn't bother me about it not being refurbished yet - we're 99% sure we'll be choosing it over NPB (which we LOVE) for our October trip although this is mainly for the location, the actual hotel does nothing for me!

I don't know how you are planning to book but if you book the hotel with Expedia through Quidco, there is a 12% cashback offer, making it even cheaper. We booked a package directly with Disneyland Paris through Quidco saving 4.5% so this is an even better deal.

I agree with Elaine, if you are not in the parks all the time then I would choose a hotel with a pool as its something different to do. I like the HNY & SL although would be willing to give NPB a go now it has been refurbished.

HNY is the closest of the hotels round the lake too

I was booking with Expedia so thanks for the heads up!
did you ring DLP to get a room only prices with AP discount? they are having offer at the moment with room prices starting from 65E and they might have other rooms at offer too.. ie new Texas at Cheyenne... but for Feb HNY is really good option..

Thank you all

After lots of changing our mind we've ended up booking Sequoia Lodge in a golden forest room. Mind you we could cancel up to Feb 2nd so I could still change my mind!!

The rates on Expedia are great - I had booked Cheyenne for March but just on a whim changed it to Newport Bay because we've never stayed there and always wanted to. With the new refurb and these cheap rates, it seems like the best chance we're going to get! I love the Sequoia Lodge, you won't be sorry you stayed there :)
