Hotel contact - booked with a TA

Hello everyone :wave:

We are booked with DLPdirect for our next two trips and I was wondering if anyone has any info on getting our booking number from them in order for me to send an email directly to guest communications?
I have paid the balance in full and we still have 9 weeks to go til our next trip but I just wanted to send a room request email the week before we go.
I think I remember someone running into trouble trying to get their DLP booking number from a TA.
Any info or tips will be greatly appreciated.

you don't get a DLP booking number booking with a TA - but you can use your booking reference number, along with your lead name and check-in date etc, to contact the hotel with room requests.

Now, I will say this, its possible your actual booking details won't be registered with your onsite hotel (as in, your party name, party size etc) until 3 or 4 days prior to check-in.

I knew there was some kind of catch to it! Thanks a million Elaine. So best option is to get in contact a couple of days before we leave.

As you know, I used this company. Disney would not deal directly with me for any requests. We phoned and emailed, and each time they said they couldn't do room requests because we hadn't got a Disney reference. I was in tears as I neededto link our room with a disabled room, and the company in question wouldn't do it either!
I checked in at 9am and explained what had happened, and the lovely receptionist said she would do it. We even got upgraded when we returned to collect the room key!
Disney made the holiday special for us, that dreadful company were no help at all :-/

And March is booked with them too. I'm an eejit. But it was £100 cheaper then with DLP. I suppose it's not a big deal but I love sending requests before we go! We have had some amazing pixie dust but even if i cant make any requests with all the stress at home at the minute just being there will be more then enough!

Our Feb trip was booked through Disneyland Paris Direct. DH had emailed the DLH direct and they were more than happy to help without a Disney reference. He says he had put the DLPdirect booking reference and our shareholder number and they responded immediately with a lovely email.
