Hotel Change - Is it possible?

Me and my DBF booked for Christmas (21st - 24th) for the Santa Fe, we picked that hotel because money was tight. I have just been given a pay rise and had originally wanted to stay at Sequoia Lodge......

so my question is, is it possible to change hotels after booking. I have paid in full already. Would I need to cancel and re-book and if so is there a cancellation fee or is it like WDW and I can just amend my booking and pay the difference?

Any help/advice would be wonderful please!!

If you have booked your hotel and transport separately and you're upgrading your Disney hotel, you can do it with no cancellation or amendment fee, as long as you do it at least one week before you are due to check in. But you're best to do it as soon as you can, especially since at the moment there is up to 40% off each hotel .

We have booked hotel only with DLRP so will be able to amend it...yay!!!
