Hot Wheels Gorilla Attack--Assembly & Feature ???

My son just finished putting the gorilla together. In the store it was in a glass display box and we pushed a button to hear "gorilla' like sounds. I can't tell from the commercial (which I can view on the hot wheels website) if the thing is supposed to "growl" or not--I only hear the music. I think my DGS (4.5) is going to be disappointed if we don't get the growl. I can play it off and say the noise is the gorilla chomping up the cars but I think he fell in love with the growl.


Anyone familiar with this toy?
