Hot Dog! Hot Dog! We're going to Disney!!- Oct. 2012 PTR

To do laundry or not to do laundry?

  • Yes, I would go ahead and get done what you have on "free" day.

  • I would just wait until I am back home.

So, as I mentioned before I have been planning and looking over menus to decide where I think everyone would agree on to eat while we are at the World. I know we arrive on a sunday and we are hoping to start the trip off with the MNSSHP and I was thinking an ADR for about 4:45 at:

We went here in Oct. 2009 and LOVED it! Hoping for a lunch ADR like we had before!!!
The last TS is still to be decided maybe Plaza in MK our if Be Our Guest is open then we will try for an ADR for there for lunch!
Anyone have any input on our TS selections or a good review of another place I should try instead!!!! ALL input WELCOME!!!
:cool1:On another note only 391 DAYS & 211 until we can make ADR's!!!:cool1:

I did not take any of these pictures and I am not taking credit for them.

Stay tuned for another installment soon....

T-shrits are very cute, great bargain :thumbsup2 Stock up now before you know it you're trip will be here. I always buy when I see as they never seem to be there when I go back to buy them!. One downfall for me I always forget what I have bought and end up with way too much :rotfl:

I too have been listing suggestions for my ADRs (I noted these down in my ptr) It's never to early, your ADRs look good, have you tried crystal palace in MK, we felt this was good character interaction for the kids, can't remember if it was 2 or 1 credit. Really enjoyed the plaza last year, especially the ice cream yum yum.

Your ADRs sound great! I was just thinking about where we are going to go too. I definitely want to take DD to Crystal Palace and CRT. And of course Chef Mickey!! I posted a question on the Dining Boards the other day about pricing for DD. All the pricing for children are ages 3-9. My DD will only be 2 when we go. So I was wondering how it works for her. People responded saying that at Buffets she will eat free. CRT will give her buttered noodles for free. But at other sit down restaurants, if she doesn't eat off our plate, we would just pay for whatever we order her. Sounds good to me!!! Well, can't wait to hear more of your plans!!!!

ADRs sound good. I read somewhere that Be Our Guest will be CS for lunch & TS for dinner. I'm hoping it's open by the time we go. I really want to try it!

We have tried Crystal Palace and were not impressed at all. If I had a little girl I would do the castle also...It is so pretty up there. Yea our TA said we just OOP for a meal for him if we don't share unless its a buffet then he can eat for free. So I have been scoping out the kids meals to make sure they have something he will eat also.

So I posted a poll on the first page that I am curious about. I am trying to decide about laundry. I have never been one to do laundry on vacation as we only stay 7 days but in the middle of the week we will have a "free" day...day to swim, got to DTD & whatever else. I was wondering if I should maybe do what we have so far that is dirty on that day or just wait until I get home....What are your thoughts on this?!

I voted Yes, to do laundry! :laundy: I have always done some laundry when we have some down time at the pools! It saves on what I have to do when we get home. Plus, if there are any wet or stained clothes, I like to get them clean right away! It doesn't take long to do. Put a load(s) in the washer, go out to enjoy the pool, go back in, put it in the dryer, back out to the pool again. By the time the laundry is done everyone will be done at the pool! :thumbsup2

I voted not to do laundry. You're on vacation! You don't want to do laundry! It can wait til it gets home. It'd be one thing if you were in a villa where you had your own washer/dryer but to lug it to the laundry facility. Like I said, it can wait!

I always do laundry on vacation - we pack 4 outfits each (and 1 extra shirt, few extra socks and undies) then half way I do laundry -- this cuts down on the the amount of suitcases to bring or leaves rooms for souvenirs to bring back .

We only do laundry while at Disney if we have to. Unless it makes it much easier for you for packing and travle, I would say don't do laundry.

I would do it whilst at the pool. It pretty much takes care of itself and you are getting to enjoy the pool too. I wouldn't go out my way to find the laundry and be away from the family, but the pool is the ideal location. Anything that can cut it down when you get home works for me :)

Your plans so far look so fun! I cant wait to hear about Be Our Guest. I hope its open for you:goodvibes And GREAT buy on those tshirts! I wish I had nabed those at our walmart for ds!

Looks like I missed your poll but because I KNOW you really want my opinion, I'll throw in my two cents ;):rotfl: If it were me, I'd do laundry!! I hate unpacking from a trip and being able to take at least half of your clothes and put them directly back in your closet would be so nice. Don'cha think?

HeeHee!

DOWN WITH LAUNDRY! :crazy2:

lol You're on VACATION! No laundry allowed! Have fun!

Ok yes....I HATE laundry! So my opinion is formed by my hatred of doing laundry....I don't think anyone should do it on vacation!

:cheer2:

So the poll was was even on both. Well, I guess I will wait until closer to time to decide. However, laundry is my LEAST favorite thing to do. I am looking forward to time at the pool. DS Loves to splash in the tub so I know he will love the pool!
Update not trip related:
DS took his first steps yesterday!!! We are so excited!:cool1::woohoo:

Yay for your DS!!!!!! :cool1::banana::thumbsup2 My DD didn't take her first steps till she was 14 months old! LOL! I didn't think she was ever going to walk! Now the fun begins!

That is so funny he is 14 months old and I kept thinking he was never going to walk on his own. He would only walk if he was holding on to something!

LOL! Too funny!!! Yea, DD was "cruising" for the longest time!!! At first I thought she was going to be an early walker, but nope! She never crawled either. Still doesn't. She hates being on the floor. If she is on the floor she doesn't even pull herself up! She knows how to do it, but she is lazy. It's partly our fault for doing it for her. I'm concerned that she isn't doing these things, but the Dr says she is walking & that is harder to do so not to be concerned. :confused3 I don't know though....she will be 2 in January! We'll see!
