Hot Dog! Hot Dog! We're going to Disney!!- Oct. 2012 PTR

To do laundry or not to do laundry?

  • Yes, I would go ahead and get done what you have on "free" day.

  • I would just wait until I am back home.

I love this! Your son is adorable!!! I personally think it is never too early to start planning a trip.. In fact, the earlier, the better. It gives you something to look forward to.. On those rough days when you're just ready to go crazy.. you can stop and think... only 99 days till Disney! It always makes me happier :) I think you will have a great time, and the restaraunts you picked out sound superb :) I'll be signing up for this one!

Yay for DS! :yay: We're still waiting for DD to take her first steps. She's 16 months and she's so close.

Just wanted to check in and say hi. NOthing much new on the planning side of things right now. We did switch TA and scored 2 free 25.00 Disney GC and 2 free autograph books for DS & DN. So we were excited about the freebies!
On a side note today at 5pm I will be on vacation until the following monday! I am s excited to have a week off with DH & DS! We plan to get some things done around the house, go to the zoo, fall festival and the pumpkin patch! I can't wait!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!:cool1:

Hey everyone. Just wanted to check in with an update!
On friday the 14th it will mark our 1 year until the trip. Since DH has to work every weekend and is off Thursday I decided to do our movie night/celebration on thursday. Today i went to the store to get cake mix, icing & decorations to make a cute cake. I also decided we would have spaghetti, garlic bread and salad and watch lady & the tramp. I also got the stuff to work on our countdown poster. I am going to do months and then the final month in days!!! I can't wait to get started on it~!! I will post pics after our dinner & celebration! Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!:cool1::thumbsup2

So, we decided to do our family movie night a little early!! We also decided on a general Disney theme. We couldn't decide on just one movie. So here are some pictures from our night:

Oh how fun! I'm going to steal your idea and do a Disney movie theme night for my ds's birthday this week :) Love it!

Looks like you had a great time!!!! I want to do something like this for our trip, but trying to convince DH is hard. He's not as enthusiastic about going to Disney! :confused3 Hoping once we go with our own children & see it through their eyes, that he will have a change of heart! ;)

Joining in! Saw your PTR link on the Oct 2012 post. We will be there 17-20. Only 2 park days...super quick MNSSHP/F&W suprise trip for the kids.

We are also doing Disney movie nights. Super fun! We were originally planning on every 2 weeks, but so far we have been averaging about 1 per weekend.

Great buy on those t-shirts!

Looks great! I wonder if DBf would go for this on the 30th of every month (we leave Sept 30th for WDW). Hmmmm...

Hi there. Found your PTR from the Oct thread. Your son is so cute!!

We have tried Crystal Palace and were not impressed at all. If I had a little girl I would do the castle also...It is so pretty up there. Yea our TA said we just OOP for a meal for him if we don't share unless its a buffet then he can eat for free. So I have been scoping out the kids meals to make sure they have something he will eat also.

there are other restaurants that do this too. It never hurts to ask!

So I posted a poll on the first page that I am curious about. I am trying to decide about laundry. I have never been one to do laundry on vacation as we only stay 7 days but in the middle of the week we will have a "free" day...day to swim, got to DTD & whatever else. I was wondering if I should maybe do what we have so far that is dirty on that day or just wait until I get home....What are your thoughts on this?!

what we like to do is take two shirts for each bottom. around the middle of the trip, we wash the bottoms and whatever may need to be washed quickly. we are good at getting food on our clothing here, so i always need to get some stains out anyway! its less to pack and doesn't take too much time at all.
