And when you asked if they liked movies about gladiators.

I already knew the answer to that one, since they always root for the Tigers and the Lions. :cool1:

We got Hunter now, should make things a bit more interesting defensively. Excited for April 1st with Martinez back in the line up too.

I figured it fitting to throw that one in for prosperity, IMIU

Would you knock it off with the obscure TLA's (three letter acronyms)? I'm still waiting for the nickle to drop on this one. I even pulled out the AK map and went over all the rides and shows. :confused3 And IMIU - "in my interminable uppityness"?

Nebo said: Yep, I knew that was going to come across that way, it had been almost a week now. Looks like nothing now. I got the same response when I showed off my vasectomy scar a week later.
I mean my appendix scar.

The funniest thing I ever read, laughed so hard I cried, my family thinks I'm a freak, don't care hystorecterical!!!!

What was hystorecterical - when he showed his appendix scar or his appendage scar? Or when he showed his append... wait? Is that what the "early show" was?

?

Morty, I haven't figured out the IMIU one yet either, but I 'm not going to tell her that.

It is getting very hard remembering what we did when, so this day may or may not have happened in the order I am reporting, but it is pretty close to the truth as I can recall it.

Heh

My mom as you know is not a fan of the water parks, so we decided to go to another one.

:rolleyes1:

Typhoon Lagoon, a really great water park and the kids' favorite!

We found a place under a small shelter of sorts and I arranged the small foot high chairs in a circle. Don’t know why, I just did. I did my best to camouflage our stuff and I told everyone to huddle up there was a plan.

Groans and moans from everyone.

I gave them my best mom means business look and told them to have fun. Check in and come back occasionally for water. We kinda split up and did our own things. The boys went one way, Tim and Mal went another, and Maddy and I stood there and looked at each other. I told her, lead the way! So we walked, and walked, and walked some more. Come on girl! I’m melting! And we took a sharp turn right into the wave pool. I had to cool off, geesh!

I took Maddy over the kiddie play area and she fell in love this the slide. It was right next to our chairs and so I could see her well enough to hang out and watch her. I so love when my kids are old enough to do some things on their own and not completely dependent on me to hold their hand, pick them up to put them on something, and run to the other side to catch them. Nope, I got to chill and watch my baby have fun.

At some point we were all together and I wanted to do the swimming with the scary mean and ferocious sharks. I heard you are lucky to escape with all of your body parts intact. As long as it’s from my middle, I’d be ok with that, I can spare a little bit there.

Zack was willing to go with me, but so was Malorie. I wanted to make sure she’d be ok with it first, so again I volunteered Zack to be my test subject.

I love snorkeling, lucky to get many opportunities to snorkel in the Caribbean. Tim hates it. On our honeymoon we took one of those side trips where they drop you off in the middle of the ocean and Tim was just taking in loads of salt water and coughing. We were near a sand bar where he took off his mask and said, just swim, I’ll wait here for them to pick me up.

We got the 10 second tutorial on how to swim on top of the water, straight and not to touch anything like the reef, and got in the ice cold water. What a treat! That water was refreshing.

It was a little bit nerve wracking until you got to really see it for what it was. Which was complete coolness. Had I known how cool this was, I would have spent the whole day waiting in line just to swim about 100 feet in freezing ice cold water. Instead I did it once with Zack and once with Malorie, my little daredevil.

This was about it for Typhoon lagoon, the boys did all that they wanted including not getting a wedgie, I was just informed that that occurred in Blizzard Beach, TL had Crush N Gusher, which the boys failed to invite me to ride with them. Apparently some crazy lady was remembered to have screamed very loudly the last time we were here to embarrass her boys and they made sure not to remind me about it until now. Mal and Tim hit all the big fun rides too. Now as I am typing this I feel I missed out on some of those bigger slides, but had a ball watching my baby have fun. Next time she will be bigger and a better swimmer to take on the cooler stuff.

We called my mom to let her know we were on our way and she asked if we could pick her up a few things. A spatula, garbage bags, night light bulbs, shoelaces, and an umbrella.

We drove all over the place and stopped at a bunch of little stores and shops. Just to avoid Wal-Mart where I am sure I would have found everything, but I boycotted that place days ago. I found everything but the night light bulbs. Rite-Aid had them on sale and was all out! I figured I’d just leave one of the lamps on for her.

We met mom at home, she wanted to go out to dinner. We cleaned up, headed out and found ourselves at Joe’s Crab Shack. This was a very uneventful dinner; the food was just ok, nothing special. Grandma wanted to make “highballs”, so we stopped at this small liquor store.

We went home had a few “highballs” and played some family games. My girls love family game night at home and are known to play a mean game of Apples to Apples or Disney Scene It.

We have two days left of our trip and it is quickly coming to an end. We have a day at Disney Quest tomorrow with shopping and then we spend our last day celebrating a 5 year olds birthday. We have never been to DQ and the kids are pumped about doing this.

I noticed a missed call from my doctor’s office and this has me concerned. I listen to the voicemail and I am stunned.

The rabbit didn't die, did it?

This summer was the first time I swam with the sharks. I was all by my lonesome, but still had a blast. Much colder than snorkeling in Hawaii, but no waves to toss me around. I also did the Summit Plummet at BB, and got the atomic wedgie. I think 50 is a good age for my last trip down BB. I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I went over the edge.:scared1:

You are an :littleangel: to humor your mama like that. I'm sure the highballs help.:drinking1

i think I still prefer BB the best, mostly due to Teamboat Springs.

What are sorts? Is or are they foliage? Are they only found in Florida?

Don’t know why, I just did. I did my best to camouflage our stuff and I told everyone to huddle up there was a plan.

Yup, could see that coming.

ever since the end of my contact wearing days, I have a feeling that pretty much would have been me.

ok, sounds like you had a great time anyway, for the 45 mnutes you were there.

We called my mom to let her know we were on our way

Ruh roh, first mistake

and she asked if we could pick her up a few things. A spatula, garbage bags, night light bulbs, shoelaces, and an umbrella. Eye of new gingrich and a partridge in a pear tree.

What are you, Motel 6?

Yes, all that water at Typhoon Lagoon can leave you filthy.

This was a very uneventful dinner; the food was just ok, nothing special. Grandma wanted to make “highballs”, so we stopped at this small liquor store.

Wish I had known. I could have set her up with a Fuzzy Cup highball at Animal kingdom that day for her to ride around with in her scooter,,,,,she's have loved it!

We went home had a few “highballs” and played some family games. My girls love family game night at home and are known to play a mean game of Apples to Apples or Disney Scene It.

Nebver heard of Apples, but I game I liked better than Scene it kind of disappeared. I t was called Shout at the Movies, and I thought it was a LOT better then Scene it.

Oh no, please tell me they arent!
Huge, huge, waste of time and money rip-off.

I noticed a missed call from my doctor’s office and this has me concerned. I listen to the voicemail and I am stunned.

Ok, what is this? DId you JUST Notice this while writing? Or did you notice this while still in Florida?
You realize now that all jokes will cease until you say hey about the doctor?

The rabbit didn't die, did it?

Oh no, I didn't think of that. And it's so hard to find a good rabbit nowadays! But I don't think she would need a doctor to tell her that, right? Don't they have Home Rabbit execution kits now?
take it easy out there Thumper man, nothing personal.
yet

No kidding, you did that? Well, then you definately are one up on me,,,, uh uh, no way no how am I making my bathing suit come out my mouth backwards if i don't have to. And besides, how much fun is CPR? No doubt about it I'm going to have a heart attack.

You are an :littleangel: to humor your mama like that. I'm sure the highballs help.:drinking1

Oh, Daniel, can you give me once again, approx milage from Disneyland to Universal Hollywood, and Disney to DonKnottsberry Farm? We still are really hoping to put in a trip finally to DL next October, that should be a good time to go, right?

Oh, sorry, but you told me to supply a link to the next generation of foolishness, and here you go.
No, I have no idea what I've done or how I'd done it, but it seems to work anyway. Remember, whatever it is I'm doing here, is from you teaching me. No, I wouldn't pat my/your, self too hard on the back, I'm basically just trying now to make the new link in my signature look like the "other" links in my signature, it's not exactly as if I've grown a drain!

Brain!

so providing that things don't go totally haywire again, this will be the working title for now, I'm hoping to do a lot of comparing between Disney and Universal. I mean, who doesn't want to see a head to head cage match of Aladdin's Flying Carpets against One Fish Two Fish? Or Dudley Do-Rights Rip Saw Mountain against Splash Mountain? But the scary part is:

We are going to keep score!

Orlando Smackdown, Disney Vs. Universal!

What, was she on a scavenger hunt???

so funny how you put "highball" in quotes. it was so common back in our younger days. no one under age 40 really knows what it is.. it's technically bourbon with ginger ale.

the thing I didn't like about the shark pool was they instructed tyou to swim straight across, and then get out. no veering off to the side. no taking a minute or 2 to look at anything.. I was kinda towards the other side and hadnt really seen much, and I spotted a small shark off to the side, so I started to try to get a closer look and could hear the Cm yelling at me to get out now. sigh.

kudos for finding a good spot! there was a thread a while back where people were complaining about others staking out a spot... they thought you should just leave your seat empty and if someone else is on it when you return, move on. and just how is a large family like your's supposed to meet up?

I still love to play games! I love balderdash, pictionary, scattegories, trivial pursuit, scrabble, parcheesi, you name it.

Lots of drama, from a few sources really had me nerved up at the end of our vacation, you can joke all you wanna, I got through it, made me completely forget about the break in, that's for sure.

We were there for lots of hours, but how boring, they went on this, they went on that, blah blah blah. I spent my time with Maddy watching her have fun, and turned Mal into a daredevil who swims with sharks. What more do you want?

I didn't stub my toe and bleed out or anything like that but man that would have been so cool to write about!

Plus as I was asking everyone what they did while I was typing the report they were being lame and making fun of me, so it was pointless throwing them a tow rope.

The link didn't work from your other trippie, but I found my way, excited for you guys! Have a trip! I mean great time.

I'll have to start over. I started at one point and time, then between mine and Lady H's TR, then planning for WDW, not to mention work has been keeping me busy (that's usually when I get some quality Dis time), I haven't been able to keep up. I'll comment as I go until I catch up.

Disneyland to Universal, 40 miles. Disneyland to Knott's about 7 miles.
Oct. is a great time for that area. Nice weather, reduced crowds.

It may only be 40 miles but t could easily be a 2 hour trip. When I was there in July it took us over an hour to go 17 miles and that was in the middle of the day! Traffic can be horrendous.
