Mom and I sometimes buy Hostess snack cakes and I love the Hostess Cup Cakes and my mother loved the Hostess Ding Dongs until they changed the flavor when Hostess snack cakes made a comeback. What are your favorite Hostess snack cakes? When my mom was in Texas she had a friend that was addicted to Hostess snack cakes and each time Mom and her friend would grocery shop Mom would buy loads of Hostess snack cakes for them to share

Hostess snowballs!!! And I don't care which color coconut they put on them, lol When I lived in MA, I lived near the Hostess outlet, so I could satisfy my craving. Here in Western MD, it's hard to find them. When I do, I get extra and put them in the freezer. You have me craving one right now~~

Just popping in to say the cupcakes are still quite popular in schools for birthdays. With covid restrictions, I think they became even more popular because they are individually wrapped.

I used to eat all these products when I was a kid, but I've noticed as I got older whatever fat they use to bake upsets my stomach. I get indigestion. I find that in Dunkin Donuts muffins too. When they switched oils, etc, it really messed up my bakery issues!

I ate then as a child......and I liked them all!!
haven't had one in many, many years. DD had Twinkies a awhile back and said they didn't taste the same anymore.

:confused3I can’t remember the last time I had one and it wouldn’t even occur to me to buy them. DH grabs the occasional fruit pie at a gas station for the road.

I used to heat the cherry fruit pies in the microwave (I think just 20-30 seconds). Tasted great and warmed me up on cold days. Too bad I can't eat like that any more.

I don’t buy any packaged snack cakes anymore. Tastykake, Hostess, Drake’s, etc. They all taste much cheaper than they used to decades ago.

Little Debbie was bottom of the barrel even way back.

Any Philly area residents remember when Betty White did Tastykake commercials? In the 1970s.

Always had Drake’s products as a kid. Ring Dings, Yodels, and Devil Dogs. I hated Twinkies and Snoballs. Haven’t eaten any of that stuff in many years.

"Back in the day", many, many years ago when a kid, loved Hostess Cupcakes. The chocolate ones with the white squiggle on top and shot of white stuff in the middle. 10 cents for two. If we were 'extra hungry', not concerned about 'quality', we got an off brand, 3 cupcakes for 10 cents. Haven't had either in years. But I am sure they are not 10 cents anymore.

I don't get them often anymore, but I am a big fan of the orange cupcakes and also Chocodiles which were hard to find even before the death and rebirth of Hostess.

Haven't bought them in years because last time I got sucked into buying the cupcakes that looked like baseballs, and they weren't very good.

I used to love the Raspberry Zingers, but that was back when they were marketed by a company called Dolly Madison. (Yeah, I'm old, LOL!)

I love the chocolate cupcakes with white swirl on top, twinkies, ho hos, and sno balls. But rarely buy them anymore.

Always hated Twinkies....love the Hostess cupcakes and devil dogs but my favorite snack cake was the Funny Bones (chocolate and peanut butter). I made peanut butter balls over the holiday and coated them in chocolate with a peanut butter drizzle and they just happened to taste exactly like Funny Bones. I was so happy.

I'll buy FB once in a while when I have a craving for them.

Always hated devil dogs -- they were so dry!

My lunchtime would be made if Mom put a Ho-Ho (chocolate swiss roll) or a Ding-Dong (chocolate covered filled cake) in my lunchbox. Can't remember when I've had them since. They used to be in foil.

I've got a great recipe for a giant Ding-Dong cake -- time consuming, but fun and tasty.

The orange cupcakes! I craved them so badly during one pregnancy and no where within an hour of me carried them. A family member shipped me some from out of state. lol. The lemon cupcakes are good too.

Haven't seen their beery pie in years, but that was a nice treat as a kid. We would visit the Hostess Bakery outlet store once a month to stock up on bread for our deep freeze.
