Host Resorts for Princess

Seems like the website lists most of them as host resorts. On the Run Disney site's home page, the word Travel is across the top. Click that, then scroll down to where it says WDW events. Looks to me like all of the resorts are hosting...it's gonna be a big event!

Not necessarily all of the resorts. I didn't see anything before last year's, and so we picked Pop Century since, well, it was close to the start/finish. Found out when we checked in that it was not a host resort. Some people found this out morning of the race.

Coronado and Pop are definitely not host resorts, nor is WL.

How do you know? I'm missing something here, but as posted above they are listed on the website.

I called the RUN-DISNEY phone number yesterday and was told that all the resorts would have transportation available for thr princess half.

We are staying at Coronado, and I was told they WERE a host hotel and would have transportation.

I called run-disney a few days ago and was quoted prices for Pop, Coronado and AKL. So I assume all are supported. Although i found the run disney prices to be more expensive then the current general discount. Did I get a bad cm?

I'm at CS too and curious to know why the other poster says it is "definitely not" a host, eventhough it's listed as one on the race site? Anyone have any further info? I'd hate to have to rebook our rooms, but definitely only want to stay at a host for the transportation.

I'm positive that all resorts are host resorts.

And yes, the discount RO is cheaper than rundisney prices'

Yeah, I "rebooked" it when the visa discount came out and saved $200. I was trying to check other host resorts, but the rundisney site is hard for me to find info. I thought I might change to different resort. DH and I stayed here 4 years ago for our 25 anniversary and I ran my first princess half. That was the first year and it was in March..so we will be a week early for our 29th.

I think I'll sit tight...I can't imagine that the host resort list on the website is wrong at this point...and I REALLY don't want to go through the hassle of coordinating cancelling rooms, refunding deposits, rebooking, and repaying deposits on 3 rooms that have a different person paying in each. :faint:

My TA says it IS a host resort. No worries! I think the PP must be mistaken. If it wasn't on the website, I might worry. But it's there!

Hope you have an amazing 29th anniversary Joan! :)

Maybe someone else will chime in, but I did the Princess 2012 and the ToT race and i cant imagine race transportation for every single value mod and deluxe. That list on the rundisney travel package is all the resorts. That would be amazing if there's race transport from all those resorts!

I think the race has just gotten that big...the number of runners seems to increase every year. I think all resorts are host for marathon weekend in January, so it's not entirely foreign. If they are already taking room reservations, I would think that list has to be right or they'd have a real serious problem on their hands. I guess if its wrong, I'll be cabbing it race day :)
