Has anyone done the horseback riding over at Ft. Wilderness. I'm thinking that might be a fun lazy activity for our afternoon break. I know it's pretty tame just looking for any feedback. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I have never ridden any of the horses, but my grandaughter has. She has two of her own horses and rides in horse shows (western, english and jumping) and she had a great time. Her and her dad did it and said it was so nice. No rushing, just a nice quiet time with each other.

If you're not used to it, be prepared for a sore butt. :p

The ride is a pleasant diversion. But sort of repetitious. It lasts about 45 minutes -- twice as long as it should, I think. And if you go in the summer, it can be HOT.

But the horses are tame, and pretty gentle, and the guides are attentive. You'll be in good hands. (Or, um, hooves....)
