Has anyone done horseback riding at WDW? How long is the riding session? What is it like? My daughter is 12 and I want to take her there?
Thanks

I'm bumping this up because I would also like some info. We will be at BWV in July for my daughter's 10th birthday and she has always wanted to go horseback riding!

As I recall, the only place horseback riding is available on-site is at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, so you might want to try posting this question on the Camping at Disney board.

It's only at FWCG. If your an experienced rider then you'll find it a little boring. it's a guided, single file walk, nice scenery, an occasional animal, good conversation.takes 45-60 minutes. Once my wife & I were the only ones taking the trail ride and my wife,(a very good rider) was allowed to trot the horse a short distance which was cool. It's a little price but it's one of Millie's fav memories so it was money well spent.

If you pick up just about any Orlando vacation guide you'll find a coupon for buy one-get one at "horse world" on Poinciana(sp) road. It's about 20-30 trip outside Diz,very nice area, several different types of rides depending on rider experiece. We visited the place but didn't ride because I couldn't talk Mil into taking the advanced ride while I took the kiddie trail, ( I prefer my horse done medium rare).
