Anyone know if there are any horseback riding options on St.Thomas, St.John or St. Marteen?

Thanks, Mike

We used a barn called something like Lucky Stables on the Dutch side of St. Martin. We found it via the tourism office after we disembarked and took a cab over. It was fun, but the horses were high-strung and part of the ride goes through a refinery!

There is a stable called Bayside in St. Martin (french side). The website is www.baysideridingclub.com. I'm in the midst of researching this now for my family. I've been getting a lot of my info from the cruise critic board. They have port boards that have a wealth of info on particular ports. Bayside is located next to the butterfly farm and have a 1 hour ride and a 2 hour ride that includes swimming with the horses. There website will give you the details. You might want to do a search on CC St. Martin board for additional info. Lucky stables does NOT have a good reputation from the people who have gone.

We used Lucky Stables too. There was myself, DH and DD's 12, 10, 8, 5. It was a very pretty ride and my kids thought the horses were pretty boring - they also ride a lot at home so this was pretty slow for them. DH on the other hand had a wilder horse but he is experienced also. So all went well with our ride. Nothing much to really complain about.

I'd love to do this for my family but I also don't it to be so boring they all fall asleep at the wheel!

Thanks!

Oh don't get me wrong, my kids enjoyed it. You go through some pretty steep parts of the "mountains" actually and you get to look over some amazing parts of the Sea and our guild was really good as telling some interesting facts. They really liked the swimming in the sea part and the running on the beach.

But if you are going to excitement, this is not your kind of excursion. I am not sure if any of the riding stables really let you go out and ride the horses - could be a little dangerous!
