Has anyone done the horseback riding at Nassau? How long did it last and were the people professional? Did you spend a good amount of time riding on the beach? I am wanting to take my two girls ages 10 and 9 each with horseback training. Thanks ;)

It was English saddles, and the ride was all walking. It took a while to get to the beach, but once we got there, it was a gorgeous photo op. We rode out a bit into the water and then the guide took our photo. Our trail guide was the same person who picked us up and transported us to the stables. Hubby was worried, as he was about 15-20 minutes late, but I wasn't because I know that the islands are on Bahamian time :D
He and the stable owner were very professional. It is all the way on the other side of the island, so the ride took a while. He pointed out the sights to us on the way and also told us about his dad, who was an entertainer on cruise ships. It was really a fun experience. The horses that we rode were thoroughbreds from Florida. He told us there are not a lot of horses on the island because of the VERY high cost of hay.

I think it was an hour (possibly 90 mins., but I'm almost sure it was 60).

I read this at www.castawayclub.com. The age limit is 9, weight limit 200lbs and the cost is $65.00 per person. This does not include transportation.
Does anyone know how much they charge for transportation?
