Horse-Less Hearse being refurbished?

I noticed that the horse-less hearse was missing from the entrance to the Haunted Mansion. Does anyone know if it is being refurbished or has it been removed perm?

Looks like your post is in the right place to me.

I remember that hearse sitting near the entrance to the line for the Haunted Mansion. It sat between the entrance and the exit to the ride. (One of the few rides in Walt Disney World that exits near the same place it enters, and without exiting into a gift shop.)

I generally like to ride the Haunted Mansion at least twice if there is not a long line, and I usually do that by stepping over the ropes, from the exit to the entrance, just where that hearse sits, or sat. That saves a bit of walking.

Works for me. Hope they put the hearse back; I will step over those ropes anyhow, if I can get away with it. Hardy Har.

Someone on the Doombuggies message board reported on 2/26 that the hearse was back. When was your trip, harmonium?

We were there last week, and it was missing one day but back the next. It looked all shiny and clean when they put it back, so it probably just needed some small refurbing.

We were also wondering what happened to it! We were there on last Monday and it was gone. Glad to hear it reappeared.

We were there from Feb 9-16. The last day we were at MK was on the 15th. From the other posts I have gathered that the hearse was cleaned then. Thanks all for the update. I'm glad that the hearse remains.
