Right now we three(me, DH and adult DD) have reservations for Epcot on October 31 as it will be the only day we will be doing the food and wine festival during our stay(daughter only has 2 day hoppers so have to be careful how we book, the other we are using for MK that Wednesday!) But we also love the RnRC ride in HS. Opinions- would we be "safe" booking HS as our primary park, then hopping over to Epcot after 2 ish or would this be risky? We have no experience at all with using the park reservation system now in place. Any advice Dis friends?

On Halloween? If you mean 'risky' in the sense that they won't let you into EP, that seems extremely unlikely - I'd say there's a 99.999% chance you should be allowed entry to EP that afternoon. It's likely to be busy since it's a Sunday during F&W, but I think you can count on getting in.

Yes than you ! risky as in gaining access to park, I know getting on rides may be iffy lol.

I don't think I've heard of a single case where guests were turned away from hopping due to capacity.

Thanks all! Might be a moot point as when I check for availabiltiy for HS on the oct 31 for AP I get no parks available. I do wonder if it because I have a park chosen for that day, but if so how in the world do I check to be sure there are openings WITHOUT losing what I have if there are none? I can't seem to see any of th AP slots unless I am signed in dvc grr!

They changed up the park pass reservation availability calendar today - combined it with the blockout calendars- when they started selling the new APs. Be sure you’re signed into MDE when you check so that it recognizes you have an AP and what kind it is. I just looked, and Epcot is green (available) for APs on 10/31. (I didn’t log in, just clicked on one of the AP types.)
