We, my daughter (7), my mom and myself, are going to Disney World in a few weeks (12 days exactly if you ask my daughter). We are trying to do this on a budget and are trying to figure out what is the priority.
So...our plan is to buy 7 day DW tickets (we will be there for 8 days). We want to go to Seaworld and drive to the beach one day. My mom is renting a car because she wants to have the freedom to get around.
Anyway, I am trying to figure out if we need the hopper. I would like to just pay for the waterpark instead. So, I guess my question is if we are going to have seven day tickets and we aren't totally going to go gung ho about Disney, we want to spend time relaxing too, do we need the hopper? We are from Alaska, so I am thinking my daughter will love the waterparks.

Just hoping to get some opinions.

Thanks!

The hopper means you can go to more than one disney park a day.
The plus is the option that includes admission to water parks, disneyquest, pleasure island.

It depends how many pluses you want to do. If you want to go to the water park just one time it's cheaper to buy admission. However, if you want to go more than once it's better to get the plus option (which I think would come with 5 visits to the pluses).

If you only want to go to one park per day, get the base ticket. If you want the freedom to not only go to a park, but water parks a few times, get the MYW ticket with Magic Plus Pack option. This is the base ticket with plus options. Hoppers allow you to do multiple parks in one day, but you don't have to get a park hopper in order to have plus options.

It's actually not really a whole lot cheaper buy admission to the water park even if you're going only one time. A 7 day base ticket is $199 (plus tax). The 7 day base ticket with plus options is $233 (plus tax). A 1 day ticket for a water park is about $32 last I remember (it may or may not have gone up...this is from my memory of a couple of years ago...and this was a pre-tax price). So as you can see, it's only a few dollars different. Yet the plus pack option will give you more chances to visit the water parks, as well as Pleasure Island and Disney Quest for about the same cost as paying for a one day admission to a water park. So it's just something to think about. If you know you absolutely will not go to any water parks except for one time, and you know you absolutely will not go to PI or DQ, then just go ahead and buy a 1 day ticket to a water park.
