Hi All,
I love looking at all of your creative work and have come to you all for your expert advice. My DD has now suddenly decided that she wants a Belle dress for our visit to WDW in January. She will not fit into the Disney child XL dress - she needs something bigger. I've looked at some of the adult dresses, but they are so long, that I would have to do work to them anyway.
Can anybody point me in a direction to find a dress for her? It doesn't have to be a ball gown, but I would prefer the Winter Belle red dress with the sleeves, or the yellow gown. She doesn't want the "peasant" version.
I can sew, but only very "basic". To take that on now is almost impossible. We are leaving January 18. There's just not enough time between now and then to even attempt to sew something. All I've done lately is hemming and fixing seams on my machine, so the concept of cutting and sewing a pattern would have to be fairly simple for me.
Any ideas, suggestions, websites - anything you all can suggest would be MUCH appreciated. Simple patterns, or "similar" dress ideas are great.
This will be her first trip, and her birthday, all combined and I would like to make it as special as possible for her.
Thanks in advance - you all are a wonderful group.
Sharon
