I have decided that I definitely should have married for money... :headache:

DH and I have been outside ALLLL day cleaning up the camper. We just popped it up for the second time since we got it over the Winter... and oh, if I thought it was bad before, it's worse now...
Apparently there's a leak in the roof on one side. When we popped it up, the one side that had the problems with the canvas that goes over the 'windows' was extended to the top where it had been leaking and it's all gross and rusty and mildew-y... So bleach, scrubbing bubbles, and lysol have been inhaled for hours now... I was cleaning the outside of the 'bad' side and was like I should do before and after pictures!!! ha... popcorn::

You can tell where I started and then thought to do pictures...

I did come up with a quick fix to the holey canvas though. And since we are taking it out for a test run this weekend, and DH has to work day shift tomorrow, I was volunteered to fix it since I came up with it... It's the inside part so I'm gonna get some kind of canvas-y material and sew/pin it on both sides so that it can't be seen for either side... Just until we have the money to replace the whole thing...

Man, that's rough...

The people who had it before put some kinda stuff down the center of the roof... Only the roof is white... and the stuff is black... That wasn't nice... :confused3

That end is perfect, inside and out... It's just the other end that needs the major TLC...

I am SOO not cut out for this. This is the THIRD camper that DH has bought and also the third fixer-upper. Some people are into this stuff. I am not. lol. I will be glad when it is done... But then I get to thinking... As ugly as the last one was... :scared1:

We sure did have lots and lots of fun in it... :hippie:

That's horrible! Popups are so light to tow and roomy but let 'em leak and get damp and look out. When I had mine I hated having to put it up and down to do any pretrip loading and if it was wet after a camping trip had to be put up again to dry when I got home. Got to be such a pain I sold it for more than I paid for it.:thumbsup2
Now I have the T@B, just the right size for me and when I want to mess around in it just go outside and unlock the door. Nice and dry so far.

FYI-Mathew has a really nice Airstream, no leaks, fully customized!:thumbsup2 Saw it on the news when he was out on a road trip and passed through Nashville, stayed at the KOA down behind Opryland Hotel.
