I was thinking that going to a character meal on our first night would help set the mood for our trip so I switched a 7:40 ADR at Concourse to a 4 pm at Ohana. I hope I made the right decision. This is our first trip and I have heard good things about both but thought that Ohana's would be a little more "kid friendly". It will also be my birthday dinner. Someone please reassure me it's going to OK!

Ohana is not a character meal for dinner, they only have them for breakfast. As for your question only you know if the decision you made is good or not, but this might have been your last chance to eat at the Concourse Steakhouse. They are closing forever on June 1st and it's moving to the lobby of the Contemporary and will now be called the Wave. It's also rumoured once it re-opens they will serve an Asian themed menu.

We LOVE Ohana and are going here on our arrival night as well. I have no interest in Concourse Steakhouse but that is just me. I'd stick with Ohana, even though there are no characters.

I've eaten at both Concourse and O'hana. We prefer O'hana. If you are looking for a character meal for dinner, there is the one at Park Faire.

Regulars include Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine,
Anastasia and Drizella. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_19d.htm

When we went the food was very good and the character interaction was great. It was less crowded and a slower pace than CRT.

Oh no! I thought there would be characters at dinner! Well, I like the earlier time anyway. Oh well, I'm sure we'll have a good time.

No characters at dinner but there is entertainment.

Hi
My DGD (5) loves O'hana. She likes to do the hula, the limbo and parade around with everyone. She also likes to push the coconut with the broom. The kids really seem to have a great time, and we think the food is really good. I think you'll have a great time. The Concourse Steakhouse isn't a character meal, just a restaurant. Have a great time!!

surprized you can get a res for 4 pm. seems early for dinner ressies..

Concourse was the worst meal of our DDP two years ago, both in food and in service. I wouldn't go again. What made it worse was my MIL had me give up our Le Cellier lunch ADR's for dinner at the Concourse.

However, she made up for it ;) with getting ADR's for Ohana for dinner the night before. The food was good, the service was good, and my 3-year-old DD loved participating in the entertainment.

Ohana was the first ADR we made for our April trip!
