Hop or Magic tickets?

I need to make a decision--do I want 4-day hopper tickets or the 4-day Magic tickets? The magic tickets would save us about $330. Just myself and adult daughter going, staying at BC. Our plan now is HS on Friday (plane lands at about 10 am), Epcot Saturday, MK Sunday and AK on Monday (7:30 pm flight out of MCO). But being so close to Epcot, (which we love!), would we do better spending two evenings there? We were at Disney a year ago and only spent two full days at the parks--one at MK & one at Epcot, so this year we decided to plan our flights better and get the other two parks in. And with being about five weeks out, would I regret having to move (or possibly lose) the fast passes we have?

Agree with Meglen. Especially because you’re at BC and can get to EP easily via the IG. Get the hoppers. Who knows when your adult daughter will have the time to go with you again, so make it extra memorable.

Splurge on the hoppers, but I love epcot and usually spend most evenings there.

While I agree hoppers are ideal, $330 is a lot of money that you could potentially spend on a couple of really nice meals. Or splurge on a special experience like a dessert party. Since HS and AK are already half days since you're going to those parks on travel days, you might find that you will want to stay at those parks as long as possible. So it might just be one day of hopping to Epcot - the MK day. You can always keep the 4-park magic tickets for now and pay to upgrade when you're there if you decide you'd really like to go to Epcot more.

I second this. Instead of one extra evening at Epcot, use your $330 toward a nice meal or two. (Or your next trip.) we never get hoppers.

Are you Star Wars fans and want to do the new RotR ride? Perhaps more than once? If so, you will need hopper tickets if you stick with the schedule you originally listed, since you will need to be in HS at park opening (in reality, y,ou need to be in the park before park opening for a chance at a regular boarding group for RotR) for every morning you want to ride RotR.

If RotR isn't on your plans for this trip, then I would recommend starting with the regular tickets and then upgrading to the hopper when you are there if you decide you want to hop.

Have a great trip!

I came to mention ROTR as well. If you want a chance at riding it, you’ll need hoppers so you can go at park open and try to get a boarding pass.

I always recommend Hoppers....I just like having the freedom to come and go as I please. Plus it's nice to mix up your days a little!

We dont park hop anymore. We just plan our FPs well and stay in a park the full day to really enjoy all of it. Then the next day we really enjoy the next park. We dont feel the need to run and hop around. My everyday life is full of running around. A Disney trip offers enough to do without hopping form park to park for me. Just my two cents. Id spend that money on something else..... an after hours event {Halloween or Christmas or Villians party} , a makeover {the new Character Couture makeovers are FUN} , a nice meal, put it towards the next trip, etc....

We just made the same decision and picked the 4-day magic. The added cost for the hoppers was a lot, and when we thought about what we would use Epcot for, it’d be for an extra Epcot evening. But while I would enjoy another evening in Epcot, it just was not worth the price, especially since the alternative was a perfectly nice evening at another park.

While we aren't huge Star Wars fans, we would have loved to see RotR. But since we won't get it until later that day due to our flight arrival, we know that is not in the cards for this trip.
