I was looking @ pics of Hoop De Doo. The ones of the tables all showed large round tables that looked to sit @ least 6.

*Wondering if they group a small party (as ours will be - 3) with others to fill a table?

*Can u request a smaller table in one of the tiers?

I expect sitting with other guests during dinner on a cruise (part of the experience), just not keen on idea of doing it @ disney.

We have been to HDDR over 20 times, just DH and I and have never had a table with other guests. If it was not a table for two, it was a table for three and we just has extra room. :cool1:

Last year only me and DW went to the Hoop and had our own table for 2. The Luau has long tables with many people that every body sits and are grouped together.

You will have your own table regardless of party size, and they do not accept seating location requests. :goodvibes

thanx:)

didn't know we couldn't specify re tier 2 that we'd like to be balcony vs floor, oh well; only a few reviews ive read complained re not being able to see from back on main level

We have sat in the back of the main floor (tier 2 or 3) when on the DDP, and in the front before they had "tiers." Our experience and view was MUCH better from the front. In fact, it was so much better, that if we ever go to HDDR when on the DDP, we will pay for HDDR OOP and save the "extra" TS credit for signature dining. I don't want to discourage you, and this is just our opinion, but I thought you should have the info. I'm sure the balcony is great, though I've never been seated up there. I believe every table on the balcony level is front-row. If you pose this as a separate question, you'll probably get more opinions on this.

Enjoy HDDR! It is our favorite Disney dining experience hands-down.

*Wondering if they group a small party (as ours will be - 3) with others to fill a table?
. . . Luau, yes
. . . Mickey BBQ, yes
. . . HDDR, no

*Can u request a smaller table in one of the tiers?
. . . you purchase tickets for Cat-1, Cat-2, Cat-3 seating
. . . within a category, you cannot request a table
. . . tables are assigned by the date/time you make the ADR
. . . the assignment takes place 8-days before the show

1) Better seats ALWAYS cost more - Broadway or HDDR.
2) Regardless of what people say.
3) Repeat, regardless of what people say.
4) Categories
. . . Cat-1, floor level and back to 2/3 of house
. . . Cat-2, back 2/3 of house to rear of room and some balcony
. . . Cat-3, all balcony, 1/2 of table cranks neck, some views blocked by posts

NOTE: HDDR tables in each category are assigned by the date of the ressie. Earlier ressies get the better tables. The exception are tables #044 and #045 which are kept open until show-day for last minute handicapped guests. Table numbers are identified as 044 = floor-level, fourth-row-from-front, fourth-table-from-left.

lots of info:thumbsup2

i did find some myself this am:)

*There are only 16 Cat 3 tables & 15 Cat 2

*map,shows the table layout
