Staying at FW in May with DH and our 4 kids. What ages are best for seeing HDDR? We have a 5 and 3 year old plus baby twins. Would the 5 and 3 year old be entertained and understand the humor? The reviews are so great for the food and show so I hate to miss an opportunity to check it out!

I'm not sure what you expect. For sure, a 3 year old will not understand the humor. It is not a children's show.
But that said, yes I believe they will be entertained and enjoy it, at their level. It is full of lively singing, dancing, music, and corny jokes, napkin twirling etc.
We took our children and grandchildren when they were young and they had a good time. My Grandson was probably about 4 and he had a great time. But he doesn't remember a lot about it now.
It is up to you whether you decide to go now. I think it is great for all ages and the kids will get age appropriate enjoyment out of it. I do think the older they are the more they understand but that doesn't mean they won't have fun. I think the adults will have a good time.
Good Luck

Yes 3 and 5 year old will enjoy.

The shows got something entertaining for every age and audience participation includes everyone as well.

Food is good but check menu since its a set menu.

Also wanted to note that I would recommend eating here no matter where you are staying but staying at FW is such a bonus especially since you have a young group to haul around.

All you need to do is hop on the internal bus and walk a couple yards after being dropped off at last bus stop.

We just saw this for the first time in March. My two daughters (5 and 8) LOVED it! Yes, a lot of the humour was over their heads, but that's what makes it enjoyable for us too! Food was delicious, they ate so much they didn't touch the amazing strawberry shortcake. Best fried chicken I have ever had, meaty ribs with no fat. And the cornbread...to die for. Ok, now I am hungry.

They liked it so much they are asking to go back when we return to the world in September. We liked it so much we are probably going to say yes!

Totally agree with this. My son has always been quite picky about what he will eat and has never been a big eater. We went when he was around 8 and I have never seen that kid eat so much. He also laughed harder than I had every heard him (and I was concerned he wouldn't like it). I think having so much fun made him hungry. My son, however, inhaled the strawberry shortcake as well.
