Have you done Hoop Dee Doo? We've never done it, it was recommended to us by a family member. My kids are super picky. Can I get some honest reviews? Did you like it, think it was worth it? Also, our reservation is for 8:30 the night we come in. Any opinions on the last show?

Yah!!! I definitely recommend it. It is a must do for our family, we really enjoy it. Do your kids like fried chicken, ribs, strawberry shortcake? The show is funny and the food is good. We always do the last show, never had any issues. We usually drive to either FW or CR and take the boat over to Fort Wilderness.

My hubby and I enjoyed it. Show was fun and the fried chicken was soooo good!! Drooling just thinking about it.

DH and I have gone twice. Last time was Nov 2013. We love it. It's a corny show, but funny and the food is fairly good. We much preferred it to Spirit of Aloha which we've only done once.

We love HDDR!!! It is a must do for our family every trip to Disney!! I think your kids will love it. They have great food, chicken, ribs, etc. They also have some alternatives for picky kids, I remember my daughter getting Mac and cheese one time. My only concern is the 8:30 time slot with a 4 and 8 year old, I would recommend keeping an eye out for an earlier show.

Yes, go! We go every year and still love it every time. We've been taking our kids since our youngest was about 3 and it's fun for everybody. Picky eaters should be just fine. I have one picky one and he is always happy with it. As someone else said, the will bring out mac and cheese if you ask for it. The regular meal also includes cornbread, fried chicken, BBQ ribs, salad, baked beans, and strawberry shortcake. I think all 3 shows are equally good, so I'd just pick the time that works best for your kids. We come in from the west coast so for us 8:30 on the first day would feel like 5:30. Have fun!

My family with two sons thought Hoop was just Ok, nothing special or memorable. We much prefer to go to Ohana which is great and has activities for the kids and Raglan Road in Downtown Disney that has both male and female Irish Dancers. Somehow the Disney shows feel a little forced and my family does not especially care for them.

My family enjoys it.

I mentioned to my 16 year old that we were doing it again this year and she said "Oh yeah! That was so much fun!"

It is corny and "punny." As long as you are willing to embrace that, it is a really good time.

DH thinks the food is terrific. I am a bit of a food snob and think the food is mediocre at best. DS thinks unlimited strawberry shortcake = heaven.

Yes!!!! So much fun. We hadn't been in years, just went in June, and it was one of our favorite meals. They must have liked us because they picked on us a great deal, which made it just that much better.

I love HDD! Been three times- looking forward to my fourth for my birthday this year!

A big fat YAY!!! It is a must do for us each trip and never gets old. If you have picky eaters who won't eat what is on the menu, I am sure they can accomodate and bring kids food since HDDR share a kitchen with Trails End restaurant. We love the show and the food there. I love going on the night of our first full day at wdw.. it is a perfect way to kick start the trip!

I'm in the vast minority around these parts, but we've done it and didn't think it was all that. The food was OK, but nothing special. My kids are picky and I think they only ate the cornbread.

We are hoping to finally get to do this during a Bounceback 2016 trip. My mother would not be interested but we have seen Joe and Ashley (SeeYaReelSoon) do it so many times on their videos that it looks like so much fun! And we are planning just a DH and me trip for 2016, so that would be the perfect time to try it!
