when i called dining i was told that the only seating available was on the main floor and had to pay the premium price for those seats. we did not want to be a part of the "show" just wanted to try it out. we were there just two weeks ago and the upper floor was empty except for a few tables. has anyone ever experienced this and is it worth my while to call and complain. i will anyway, but just thought i would ask if anyone else ever had this happen to them. personally thought just not worth the $ for chicken.

Are you going during free dining? DDP people can only book tier 2 and 3 seating, which is why the more expensive seating is still available. I love the HDDR, and would pay for the better seats. Of course you could wait until closer to the day you want to go and call to see if anyone in the less expensive seats has cancelled.

we just got back. i was told that no other seats were available. we have ap's so we use dde.

If you went to the last show of the night(and I think with DDE you have to?), sometimes those shows aren't full so they book tiers 1 and 2 first, then 3 if needed. Tier 2 also includes some of the balconey tables.

The HDDR is totaly worth the money....first you are not paying for "chicken" there is a lot of different food and it is good....but you are paying for the Review...im a 44 year old dad that has been to the HDDR 5 times...and was even the "star" of the show once....it is completely worth going...I will be taking my 4yo son in 36 days....we just booked this week and I'm still having trouble getting reservation the day we can go...but i will be calling everyday until I get in...on the main floor!

I don't understand what you would call and complain about. If all of the Tier 2 and 3 seats are reserved, they are reserved. What is there to complain about? How close to the date are you trying to reserve a table?
I personally would pay for a Tier 1 Table. I love the HDDR and I feel that I am paying for the evening with food and entertainment. If this doesn't work for you, then you shouldn't go.

Yes, I don't understand what the complaint would be? Do you think they are not being honest and just trying to upsell seats? I've never known them to do this.

Most likely, because of the dining plan and people not wanting to pay out of pocket, all Category 2 and Category 3 seats are reserved. People on the dining plan cannot reserve Category 1.

My favorite seating is Category 1 and I could not get it on my last trip. I believe that it is only $5 more per seat than Category 2, but I'm not sure.

You will not be part of the show in Category 1--only if you want to. There is as much interaction from the actors in all levels, they are very good about that. You will just be closer to the stage.
