Hi Everyone
We are thinking about doing this in July. Has anyone done it and what did you think? Is it worth doing? Are the food and entertainment any good?
My sons will be 14 and 16 by then do you think it will suit them?
I would love to hear form anyone who has been and what their experience was like.
Thanks
Ann

We did the HDDR, a couple of years ago now. It was good fun, slapstick comedy, but was good, also the food was alright.
would i go again-Yes

We went on our last trip and our kids were 11,7 and 4. They loved the show. The food was ok ribs, fried chicken, mash and I can't remember what else. You get as much drink as you want, beer, wine, soft drinks. We really enjoyed it, it was a bit "cheesy" at times but would go back again. The kids laughed all the way through it

Its not to everyones taste but we really like it, done it twice now and going back again this August. DS is 15 he enjoys it. I love the food, ribs & chicken. Its the only evening I go out and have a drink and don't take the car.

Are you able to see well enough from whereever you are seated? do you have a choice of seats?

I went in 2006 with 2-10yo boys, 2-16yo boys, & my mom. We all really liked the show (I was holding my breath on the 16 year olds but they said it was a great show) and everyone but my, then, super picky eater DS liked the food. Yes, ribs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, and something else for dinner (beans?). The dessert was delish - skillet apple cobbler a la mode!

We sat kind of towards the back of the room on the main floor and had no problem seeing what was happening on-stage. I can't imagine that there would be a horrible seat in the place.

I'm thinking about seeing it again if this August's trip pans out.

No problem seeing wherever you are sat, 1st time in 2007 we were near the back, 2nd time we were on DDP, should have been in cat 2 but they gave us cat 1 seats.

The dessert was delish - skillet apple cobbler a la mode!

Strawberry Shortcake both times we have been 2007 & 2009.

Norman really likes this type of food but not really what Stephen & I would choose. Norman & I love strawberry shortcake but Stephens a very plain eater, we often get him a kids meal at restaurants. But I think we may give it a go as it will be a different night out.
