Hoop Dee Doo quick review

On Tues, May 31, we went to the 7:15 show. We had been once before & really loved it. While the show was still great, our server kinda ruined the experience. He was a very grumpy older guy who really didn't need to be in that line of work. The food was pretty good. I was a little surprised when he sat the bucket of fried chicken down on the table without any chicken legs in it! Especially with kids at the table! I realize the chicken is put in the buckets in the kitchen but it still kinda surprised me. Anyhoo... We totally love the humor of the show & would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been. Good family fun. While our server was a stick in the mud, it won't stop us from going back again in a few years.

That's too bad about your server! I'm glad you didn't let it ruin your Hoop-de-doo night! We're going for the first time in 5 years this October and I'm so excited!

Yeah, our server tainted our HDDR experience several years ago, as well. We were a party of seven, which guaranteed her an automatic gratuity...so she had no incentive to even try (apparently)...

Sorry about your server! Don't they know you are paying wayyyy too much for the food because you are supposed to derive the value more from the experience than the food? If they ruin the "experience" part of it for you, what is the incentive to pay several hundred dollars (in our case) to eat fried chicken and hospital cafeteria caliber strawberry shortcake?
