We've been to all he parks a bunch of times and have thoroughly enjoyed all the parks and attractions, but have yet to explore the Dinner Shows. If you could pick ONE of these, what would it be? We are a family of 5 (3 girls ages 13, 11 and 6), and these meals are too costly to do both. Especially since we are 'technically' 4 adults price wise. It still kills me to pay so much for my 11 yo to eat anywhere - she picks and nibbles and makes us all insane! LOL

I'd like to know as well. We are going in August (DS's 9 & 7). Want to do something different. We have already done the Mickey's Backyard BBQ so we thought we would do one of the other dinner shows. Pro's/Con's???

We've done both and I definantly vote for Hoop Dee Doo! The food at either is ok but the entertainment at HDDR is much better. Also SoA could be cancelled if its raining or too cold, HDDR is inside so it wouldn't be cancelled. The seating at HDDR is also a lot better, we have sat upstairs and down and had great seats both times. At SoA there were poles that got in the way of the stage. IMHO I would go for HDDR :thumbsup2

Another vote for HDDR. Of course, you have to have a certain affinity for corny jokes and bland food in order to truly appreciate the Hoop Dee Doo. Before you jump to the wrong conclusion, let me define bland as nothing special, not great, but not bad. In the interest of fairness, I would apply the same definition to the Polynesian show food as well. The fire dancing finale at the Polynesian is excellent, but unfortunately by the time it arrives, I'm just wanting to get out of there. The Poly show seems much longer than the HDDR. Either is worth the time to see once, but we've seen the HDDR many times and the Poly show only twice. So I guess the bland food and corny jokes appeal more to us.

Good luck!

Have done HDDR 3 times and SoA once. After the next trip it will be 4 to 1. Lot's of fun especially if you are willing to play along. Food is o.k but the fun is most of the experience. ENJOY!!!!

Our ratio is 3 to 1 in favor of HDDR.
