Hoop Dee Doo or MNSSHP? Have to choose only 1.

Hi! So due to time constraints, we only have 1 night available to do Hoop Dee Doo Revue or MNSSHP during our trip in August. We have 1 dedicated MK full day, however that night is a party night so we would have to leave by 6. We have done HDDR several times and it's our absolute favorite. Last Oct was our first time doing MNSSHP and we enjoyed that as well. We could either stay and do the Halloween party, or leave and do HDDR that night. I can't do both! Help me decide!

I've never been to MNSSHP and I'm not a big Halloween fan BUT I did do MVMCP and HDDR last trip (both for the first time).

I would go with HDDR. I think the parks are way too packed for a special event. I found HDDR so be hilarious and a great experience. I don't think I'll ever do another party so this was an easy pick for me.

I would vote for the Halloween Party but I enjoy special pictures you can get and the parade.

If you are going to be in the park all day, are you going to be able to stay for the whole party? Will you feel you got your money's worth if you don't? those are the questions I would ask myself if trying to make the decision.

Good point. When we did MVMCP we slept in, relaxed, hit the pool and went to the park around 2 since I had a park ticket for that day. I don't think we would have enjoyed a RD to close day without a break.

So definitely HDDR.

If you do HDDR you'd have some extra time for something else that evening, right? The party will take up the whole evening, so I guess I'd decide what the other options are with the remainder of your time after HDDR.

you could watch the fireworks from Ft Wilderness or move to the Poly Beach if time

Thank you all for the input. We're AP holders so it doesn't matter which park we hit during the day if we decide to go to the party. I just like to plan on certain days at certain parks based on crowd levels and to make it easier when booking dining, but we always have flexibility and that's one of the things I love about being an AP. I love the parade at the Halloween party, but we usually don't like to spend a long time on lines for character photos. It was super crowded when we went in October as well. I'm thinking/leaning more toward HDDR.

The HDDR is a great show but the Halloween Party is memorable! We can't go enough - WDW or DL. Of course WDW is our favorite.

It depends upon your stamina, IMO. If you will still have energy for the MNSSHP, then that would be great. If you might be tired after a day in the MK (I would be) then a seat at HDDR would be more enjoyable.

Both are fun events. Personally, I would do HDDR.

It would depend on the date of the party for me, I hate spending $$$ on party nights that get too crowded to really enjoy. Luckily we went to MNSSHP on a not crowded Sept night and loveeeed it so much, way more than HDDR.
