Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue subject of copyright battle

Interesting. I wonder what prompted them to file now. It's only been going for over 35 years. Someone should look into the publishing company. The economy hitting them a little hard?

I have no doubt Disney legal will make this go away. Either challenging the basis against the prior Supreme Court rulings or write a check to the publisher. Either way, we'll never hear about it again and the show will go on.

its good to be king... Disney has enough coin to make any problem go away!

All though, I have a friend from school who got sued by Matell for the use of the name Barbie. The name of her band was Trailer Park Barbie... She actually won the case. She won since her mothers name was in fact Barbie, sooo, the judge ruled in her favor.

am I the only one that caught this:lmao:

I wonder if this is why the reservation system was down?

1) I think Disney has a loser here.
2) Copyright laws have changed.
3) This is one reason no Christmas Country Bears show.
4) Disney doesn't want to pay the copyright fees for Christmas songs.
. . . they played several just as written
. . . they adapted several themes with different words
5) I think Disney
. . . will pay the past copyright infringement costs
. . . will make a write a new song appropriate for the show title
