Hoop Dee Doo Loading in Waves?

I'm at 60+10 and only category 3 are showing for all three Hoop Dee Doo shows for our date (11/11). Is it normal for them to load the categories at different times? I'm familiar with the fact that some restaurants don't load right at 60+10, but I wasn't sure about within the same location. It seems completely impossible to me that all of those Cat 1 & 2 are gone this early...

*I think* that's Veteran's Day weekend, Jersey Week, Election Day week (which is my usual sweet spot for a getaway,) and there might be stragglers from the previous weekend's races, PLUS the normal crowd that can book days earlier than you. I'm not sure if they load categories at diff times, but you might get insight if you check days around the 11th.

Category 2 and then 1 did open over the course of the morning within about 90 minutes. So, in case anyone else happens upon this thread, just give it a little while

I'm definitively having this issue, i think. My 60days opened today and only Cat3 is showing available. I check for reservations to see what they have available a few days after that and they only have Cat2 available. Weird. I'll keep checking but it does seem odd.....or SUPER DUPER popular, which it is, but still, odd.

EDIT UPDATE: After I posted the above i went back and tried again and this time only Cat1 was showing available, which is what I wanted so I booked it. So beaware, its shenanigans!

My ADR day was yesterday and only category 3 showed for our day (11/10) so I went back and went back in and category 2 showed up and I grabbed it. Same thing happened with my sister when she was booking a clients ADR's for October last month. Very odd.

My 60 day window opened today and Hoop-Dee Doo was a priority for us for 11/5. Only 830 Cat 2 was available. Wonder if Cat 3 only opens up after Cat 2 is full??

I would go back and check it again, just to be sure. Are you planning on doing HDDR on your arrival day?

This happens with a lot of restaurants. I've been on first thing in the morning to book ADRs only to see limited availability and then seeing more as the morning goes on.

My 60+ time starts on Thursday, 9/8/22, and we want to make a reservation for only the two of us for 11/10/22. What are my chances of a spot (in any category) still being available? Will only having a party of two help enough or at all?

I was able to book hoop 60+7. Ca1 at 4pm was all that I could get. Grabbed it fast.

Yes, 11/5 is our arrival day and a no park day (10 hour drive and flight prices/schedules are not great). Actually was surprised I was able to get anything at all and I would probably opt for Cat 2 anyways.

Are you doing that 10 hrs all in one day and then plan on going to HDDR? That may be a lot in one day. Hope it’s being broken up.

Yeah, driving all in 1 day but no kids. We did it in May and wasn't too bad. Drive back is harder, so detouring over to Hilton Head.

That is the night we are booked at HDDR for the 6:15pm show. I just checked and as of now there is still availability for 2 people at the 6:15pm for category 2 and 3. All 3 categories are available for the 4pm show and all 3 categories are showing available for the 8:30pm show.
