Can someone tell me how do they arrange the seating? Are the tables facing the stage where someone would have their back to it or are they facing the other way? Also how many people to a table and do the little kids get stuck not being able to see. Are the seats preassigned so we wouldnt have to worry about being there extra early in order to get a good seat (i would hate to have to stress over that)? In other words are the seats preassigned before we get there? Is there a way to find out seating # ahead of time? thanks

The tables are set up so that at 2 tops both are able to see well, 4 tops has one person with their back to the stage, but there is plenty of room to turn around during the show. Kids can see as well as anyone. This is not a dining room like Le Cel with tables packed together. Seating is preassigned by category and when ressies were made. One caveat, if you change your reservation you lose your place and end up with a table as if you'd never reserved the first time.

I agree, it is not an issue to see, sometimes a few will need to turn around to watch the show between courses...but the actors move around the restaurant often while acting/dancing, lots of fun interaction. We have been four times and no one has ever complained about not being able to see the show.

If you do Category 3 seating which is upstairs and are seated along the sides, you do have your back to the stage when eating. This is not a problem because you turn around and watch the show, eat for awhile, watch the show, eat for awhile, etc. I actually had Category 3 my first Hoop De Doo and was able to see everything, actually got some of my best pictures from up there.

Basically anywhere you sit, someone may have their back to the stage but due to the timing of show, eat, show, eat this is never a problem. For a fairly large theatre it is actually quite an intimate show, you won't miss a thing!:thumbsup2

the above link has a pic of the seating. We were cat 3 our first time as well and still thought it was great!

i know the seats are assigned, as far as category. but do they reserve close to the stage at the time you make the reservation or by the time you get to the show that night?

I thought I read that they were assigned in order of when you purchased them and that they are coded on the tickets, which I think (someone should confirm) that you can pick up at your resort ahead of time. Also, they now take pictures ahead of time (which is new since the last time we did HDD) and that it isn't necessary to arrive as early as they recommend. I wish I had more recent experience to offer.

I personally don't think it matters where you sit for HDD - we were on the floor but way in the back. The actors/singers came all around and interacted with everyone in the whole place. Plus, everyone in the whole place can see and hear because it's not that big. Good luck!!

Tables are assigned based on booking date. The earlier you book, the better your seat will be within the category you have booked. We booked at exactly 90 days out (when it was 90 days in advance) and our table was right at the stage, front and center.
Have a Great Trip

i believe the DDP ADR's are cat 2 or 3. only...except for 9:30 show

1st time we went we booked cat 1 right in front of the stage...too close for us...2nd time I booked cat 2 because of dining plan...booked as soon as window open (90 + 10) and got great seats in the back but right in the center...Liked those seats better.

I booked with a category 2 so hopefully it will be a good choice. #1 may have been too close for me anyway.
