Hoop De Doo or Spirit of Aloha?

Which do you prefer and why? We are 4 adults and 5 kids ages 5 - 10.

I have always been a fan of the Luau. The first part of the new show may be a bit corny for adults, but the kids should like it. The second part of the show should be enjoyable for the whole family. I don't think the food is amazing, but I don't really have any complaints either.

I would go for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I love the goofy comedy and prefere the yummy fried chicken to the food served at the Luau. We went to the Luau once and didn't like it enough to go back. On the other hand, we've been to the Hoop Dee Doo several times.

I've been to both and I prefer the Hoop Dee Doo. I think it has a bit more of a fun atmosphere than the Luau for kids. My DD, who is 5, was somewhat bored at the Luau.

We love both, but give the edge to the HDDR. Especially with kids 5-10, I think they'll appreciate the food and the entertainment more. Have fun!

We just returned from WDW and did the Hoop for the first time with my 3 kids DS11, DS7, and DD6. I wasn't sure if they would like it or not, but turns out they laughed as much as my DH & I did. They had a really great time.

We have been to both also. My vote would be for HDDR!

IMO food is better and so is the entertainment.

We went to the Hoop last year and although I enjoyed the entertainment, my wife didn't enjoy the quality of the food..I'll admit it eventhough it was an enourmous quantity..the quality just wasn't there for the price... We have never been to the Luau!

We went to the Luau several years ago and were VERY disappointed. I would go for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue although we have never been. I just don't think we would spend the money to go back to the Luau.
