Hoop De Doo or Narcoossee or California Grill?

I am taking my 2 girls to WDW for the first time in January. I have planned to go to HDDMR with them. However, when I called WDW the other day, an incredibly nice CM was suggesting restaurants to me. He suggested Narcoossee or California Grill because he said watching the fireworks during dinner is wonderful and the girls would love it.

Anyone have any feedback? Did you try any of those places with your kids?

How old are your kids? Are you using a dining plan? We've done all three, but our kids were about 12 when we went to HDDR and we all enjoyed it. They weren't quite into fine dining then. We've done Narcoosee's and Cali in the past year when they were 16 - definitely into fine dining now! You can go to HDDR and also just go to GF to see the fireworks without eating there - lots of people who weren't eating at Narcoosee's also watch the fireworks from their deck.

I really enjoy watching the fireworks from the Cali Grill. It is wonderful seeing the fireworks explode at eye level! It is an experience that just is hard to get anywhere else.

Our first night meal was at Narcoossee's, nephew was 5 turning 6 and he absolutely loved it. He voted the Mickey pasta the best ever. I've also done dinner then fireworks at CG, but I think Narcoossee's is better, they also get to see the water parade(neon floats, hokey but cute and kids love it).

I don't know your girls ages, but Narcoossee's is awesome and even cool enough for teens!
