I've been seeing a lot of posts that mention audience interaction/participation at HDDR. Can you give me some specifics? My dh is one that does NOT want to participate in a show (i.e. being selected to go on stage). In fact, if that were to happen to him, he'd go with it at the time but then be grumpy about it afterwards. Watching others be silly is fine though, he has no problem with that. :rotfl:

Should we skip HDDR? Is there somewhere we can sit that would decrease our chances of being selected to participate? I'm thinking of making an ADR for Cat 2 seating at the 5pm show.

If you sit in the back or upstairs you are unlikely to be picked to go on stage...the other interaction is all what your table puts into it..when they ask to raise your hand if its your b-day, anniversary, etc., just dont participate and you'll be fine

If he is asked, just politely decline. We have been several times and never selected to go onstage.

The CM's performing at HDDR are really very good at only selecting people who would want to actively participate. I think you'll only have an issue if DH is actively participating but even then all he has to do is politely decline.
