Thank you both for the heads up on Ironman though, I feel your pain with what happened to you on Ironman - sadly things like this used for be a regular occurrence for me!

If you can live with the spoilers, I would consider trying to watch/read/review the dialogue and plot before riding so you aren’t trying to read as the motion simulator shakes you around.

I didn't realise Grizzly Gulch was more like Everest which again I'm glad to hear as I love Everest! The backwards bit never really bothered me on that, it was more any jerkiness afterwards.

Like Everest, you do get jostled around a bit while going backwards, but it’s more like Everest than either of them are like Cosmic Rewind.

Doesn't the bus take quite a long time compared to the cable car? I did look this up and vaguely recall it seemed to take ages. Fortunately my issue with heights & cable cars isn't a full on phobia, so I'm hoping to put my big girl pants on and just grin and bear it

The bus did definitely take a while, but it was part of a larger trip for me, so I couldn't tell you how long it was just for that part. The cable car ride isn't exactly a quick trip either, but is nicer as long as you're comfortable enough with the heights thing.

Very good advice thanks re the dialogue, I wouldnt have considered that but reading/having to concentrate fully on a screen whilst moving has always been a trigger.

Something rings a bell that the cable car is 25 mins each way whereas the bus is over double that. So I'll be as comfortable as I can be so long as I don't end up with a glass bottom car

Hey all, I'm back doing more planning again for my trip despite it still being 2 months off - seems so far away still!

I've booked my HK park tickets and as they were doing a cheaper 2 consecutive day ticket (saves me about £35-40), it now changes my planned itinerary to as follows:

Weds 12th - arrive Hong Kong, park day number 1
Thurs 13th - park day number 2
Fri 14th - sightseeing
Sat 15th - sightseeing
Sun 16th - fly to Shanghai, arrive mid afternoon & explore Disneytown
Mon 17th - park day 1
Tues 18th - park day 2
Weds 19th - sightseeing
Thurs 20th - sightseeing AM, fly home PM

The 2 free days i have sightseeing in Hong Kong, 1 will be spent at the Tian Tian Buddha and the other will be spent in HK itself. As one day is on the weekend, I'm wondering which of these 2 options would be the best to go to on a Saturday? Or is it likely to be much of a muchness when it comes to how busy they'd be?

Was also quite surprised to see that HK doesnt open till 10:30am which I'm really not used to! Nice lie in

Also, anyone have any experience with the weather in either place in mid-November? Conscious it's horrific atm due to typhoon season but hoping that drops off by the time I'm there.
