Okay, we are back! It is nice to be home even though my darling DH woke up telling me we needed to get up, get ready, and go to the parks. :p

We had a wonderful time and I am going to just put a ton of info in here... probably jumbled... but let me know if there are any questions.

ROOM:
Our room at the Grand Floridian was beautiful. We were in a honeymoon concierge room on the second floor. It is a nice locaton - nine rooms only with a beautiful view of the castle and marina. It is right above Gaspirilla, but since it is closed right now, it was very quiet. We did have to take two elevators since the second floor room and guest area do not open to each other. But we didn't care... it was private. It had a fun Alice in Wonderland theme with lots of little fun hidden features. We had fun finding them.

HOTEL & CONCIERGE:
The hotel was extremely clean. We were met by Jim and then Bill (maybe manager??, black suit) who called concierge down to get us. Check in was easy and they showed us to our room.

We had concierge do some stuff for us on the trip and answer a ton of questions. They helped us figure out a lot of things that first timers wouldn't have known. Everyone was kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. They tried to be as accomidating as possible to all of our needs. My husband and I feel that the whole staff was really courtious.
ADDED: They even brought us our camera - which we had forgotten in our room when we went to dinner at V&A.

The food was very good and there was always something. Eating breakfast in concierge also saved us money in the long run and my husband really likes to have breakfast. The cordials also saved money - alcohol is expensive! Definately ask them for soda if you want it. By the end of the week, they would see us coming in and get out a diet coke for me and give it to us before we could even ask. The staff continuously brought out more food and would try to find more for everyone even at a few minutes before ten.

FOOD:
V&A was amazing. I highly recommend the wine parings. We had so much good food and I tried things that I thought I may not like... but I loved everything! We were very full (and I was a little tipsy) at the end of the evening.

Garden Grill was good and a lot of fun. It is definately an interesting resturaunt and was very accomidating to my want of no gravy. The rehitching was cute and something I am glad that we did. The characters did pay attention to us as well as everyone else. But it wasn't very full either.

At California Grill, we had a wonderful view of the castle for wishes. Actually, it was perfect! We used one of our romance plan dinner certicicates. The flatbread/pizza appetizer we had was very good. My husband's filet was amazing and my herloom tomato salad was so delicious.

Artist Point was a nice touch of home. I had scallops and my DH had the buffalo steak. It was very nice to see things we were familiar with - like tillamook cheese! Our waitress was excellent and we had a lot of fun chatting with her. There is more in the magic section regarding this though.

We also ate at Teppanaki, the House of Blues, Plaza Resturaunt, GF Cafe and some other places. But everything was good.

MAGICAL STUFF:
We recieved two Magical moments certificates: one in downtown disney and the other during our dinner at Artist Point. They are really cool to get and we enjoyed it. We were also given the kid's straws at Artist Point (mickey ones) and that was a fun touch to the evening.

In epcot, we were given free desert at Teppanaki. We have no idea what it was, but it was good. One of the little ice cream and drink stands gave us the option to get whatever we wanted for free (ah, the power of the ears). We decided we wanted water and a beverage strap. So we got it.

We were placed in special parade sitting for the 3:00 MK parade. It was a really nice thing because I got some awesome pictures and also had a lot of fun. The characters really interacted with us especially since there were only a few of us and no one else around. It was right by the Liberty Square sign. We also recieved a little yellow slip that allowed us to bypass lines (sort of like a fastpass). That was fun! But I'm not sure I liked putting parents in the position of answering the "why are they so special" comments from their kids who were waiting.

Probably one of the most amazing perks didn't even have to do with the kindness of a cm. Instead it was another GF guest and again the power of the ears. We were invited to join them for their "Wishes" cruise that night... on the Grand One!!! What an amazing boat. But we all sat out and enjoyed watching the fireworks from the front of the boat. Amazing does not really even begin to explain it. We all went back and ate practically all the sweets in concierge (although they did bring out two more trays).

We also got a ton of congrats from guests and cms alike. The hats were a ton of fun to have.

Beyond all this - a couple days before we left, we got the disney bug big time. We are already planning a trip to Disneyland for DH's birthday (which is in March although we will probably wait until April because of spring breakers). We are also attempting to talk my parents into doing a family trip with grandparents to WDW sometime soon. Fun!!!

after reading what a great time that you had it really makes me hope we get the magical moments like you had.
glad to hear you had a good time.

Congratulations! :Pinkbounc

Sounds like you had a wonderful honeymoon. Did your room at the GF have a jacuzzi tub? If so how big was it?

We did have a jacuzzi tub. It was a little bigger than our oversized tub at home. My DH is about 6'1" and 250, I am 5'1" and small... we both fit okay. It isn't super huge... but was great.

In case anyone is interested... almost all the honeymoon photos are up. I just haven't scanned the ones that Disney took.

It is under albums and then disneymoon.

What are "magical moments certificates?" Looks like you had a great time! Congrats!!

Congrats!
Sounds like a lovely trip :-)
I'm hoping to do V&A on our next trip

Wow! I was shocked to see that pop up... it seems like forever since our trip!
