I have a sort-of crazy question...

We aren't having a shower... but we are having an engagement party.

Our wedding date isn't until a year from now....BUT we wanted to include our registry info in the invite for the engagement party (under the advise of our family) and aren't really hoping to register anywhere but Disney.

We just got our date today :cloud9: in a voicemail from our WC and don't know how to get a confirmation # that's required to register...

Our e-party is 2-7-09... and on the invites I asked for RSVP by 1-16-09.
Is there any chance we'll get to include Disneymoon registry? or should we think of something else? Should we book a room only for 1 night and change it later when we get our room block discounts? Can they do that?:confused3

I'm not even sure that makes sense...
But thanks everyone for trying!:cheer2:

Did you call DFTW to help you with the registry? I had a problem getting ours set up and they helped me out with it. Sorry if that doesn't help much, I'm not really clear on what you need assistance with other than your timeline working out.

Good luck!

The confirmation # you need to register for the honeymoon registry is a room reservation number. You are correct - you could book a room now just to get the confirmation number and switch later, but I'm not sure whether the registry is tied to that reservation # in such a way that if you later cancelled and re-booked, you'd have problems with the regisstry.

If you keep that reservation, you can later apply any codes to it that come out in order to get a better price.

I'd call the registry number and ask - they are really helpful: 407-566-7272

we originally linked our HM registry card to a reservation that was changed at a later date and there was no problem with it. :) Disney knows that plans change...we changed resorts/room type and had no problems with the HM card :)

*extra word of caution here...since ive been using the card here at WDW I've run into several CMs that seem to think its a CC rather than a Gift Card...so they run it over and over causing you to stand there thinking 'uh oh..whats wrong??' Now every time I go to use it I hand it over and say 'I'll be using my gift card' lol
